When I first got started with my travel home based business in the summer of 2005, I just knew that it was going to be extremely profitable for me.

Although I did not know how to market, I did know how to deal with people and went to many local networking events. Meeting lots of people and developing relations is an important part of any travel business. However, what I came to realize is that you can meet all the people in the world, but if you do not know how to market, you will not get very far.

I tried various forms of offline marketing and did exactly what my sponsor and the company instructed me to do. I made a list of my friends and family, went to every networking event and company event, put up flyers in several places, bought useless leads.... you name it, I did it. But, I really did not see the results that I was looking for

But, that was not the kind of lifestyle that I wanted to live. I knew there had to be a better, easier and more profitable way to promote my business and to sponsor other people that were looking for a travel business. I tried desparately to find people to duplicate what I was doing.

So, I turned to the internet and did some research. I partnered with a couple of very successful online marketers that showed me how to generate free leads online and learned how to position myself as a leader so that people can become attracted to me. Once I learned how to do that, my business exploded and I became the hunted instead of the hunter like I was.

Now, my passion is to share my knowledge with as many other travel agents that I can and introduce the to the YTB Team Training System. The internet is HUGE and there is enough to go around for everyone.
