Well, publishing a review article like this on Yahoo Homepage was a kind of challenge. Yahoo is all about Internet based technology and I would love to write on this considering that I am myself an Internet Freak.

The present day “Yahoo” is the result of hobby of some students which later evolved into a search engine giant. The two founders of Yahoo – “David Filo” and “Jerry Yang” were Ph.D. students in Electrical Engineering at Stanford University. They started their guide in a campus trailer in February 1994 to keep track of their personal interests on the Internet. They used to spend more time on their lists of favorite links than on their doctoral dissertations. Soon their lists became too long and unwieldy, and they broke them out into categories. The Website was initially named "Jerry and David's Guide to the World Wide Web" but eventually received the name “Yahoo” with the help of a dictionary. The name Yahoo! is an acronym for "Yet another Hierarchical Officious Oracle”
