Yatrack the perfect netvibes copy
49Crazy Netvibes Copy, drafted from my Wangr blog
Gauche I don’t know what too say, unfortunately I’ve found another 100% copy of a popular Western Web 2.0 Service.
And this time it’s another favourite of mine! Netvibes Copy Yatrack.cn
They actually posted under my Netvibes Intro in Chinese.
However, I have to say the detail in which they went to copy netvibes is astonishing,
even the language, the footer and header are the same.
The more I look at it I sorta think that’s pretty cool though, cause it’s way more local than the chinese version of netvibes.
It’s already got feeds of some popular chinese Websites like Donews.com, modules in chinese and for chinese like the Entertainment for local artists etc. news.
Wonderfully made, unfortunately they even copied the About Page and put in Yatrack where it’s Netvibes which is a very sad statement.
Ok dudes, seriously, whats wrong with you?Sooner or later I have to change this into a chinese web 2.0 rip-off blog.

Ah, of course there are! not as many as copies though,
I love toodou.com, I find koooxo.com usefull, I've been heavily using Zhuaxia.com, Comhuan.com is getting popular and many many more sites like 0529pm.com which is awsome from the name already.

I was just reading in the Economist that the Chinese culture of deference (something no doubt reinforced by the Communist party) will limit innovation, and that China's successes have been more at copying that innovating on their own. As a person with both Chinese & Western perspectives, it would be interesting to read your views on this. Are there examples of innovation in the Web 2.0 space in China?
