It is going on 2 years since we got our little Maddie! Never in my life have I found myself to be so attached to an animal. Mind you I was raised with animals of all sorts and each generally had a purpose. But this little thing just blows me away. She is smart as a whip I tell ya! Every single morning she makes her rounds about the property. Inspecting every edge of her space and territory. Then like clockwork she will wake up the kids for school and follow them until they are out the door. I can't really say enough about her.If you are looking for a dog the Yorkshire Terrier is the way to go. They are small but pack a lot of spunk! You can almost train them to make coffee! LOL!

If you have a new Yorkie but are having some trouble taming this spit fire then I do understand. First and foremost make sure you give them the attention they need. They must feel special to you! Like a faithful servant they will please you to no end. But if you try to shun them off as second rate they will not have it. Period!
