Not only are they cute, but Yorkies make very good friends. I have known several who have been truly best friends to their owners. Like most little dogs, they just don't understand that they are small - and take on the world in their own terms!
I love Yorkies and have always wanted one and each time through strange reasons have ended up with another breed.
I have two dogs at the moment both are 16 years old and I know that their days are numbered and I dread it.
I had decided no more dogs but now you have me drooling over these Yorkies and wonder should I when my two babies pass on.
I am not going to say thank you because you are possibly forcing me to reverse my decision of no more dogs.

The dog in the first picture has a super long tongue! Ha. I love yorkies they're one of my favorite breeds, right next to APBT's. They definitely have spunky personalities. My lil yorkie monster will be 8 this year; he's getting up there. I told my mother that once I'm done grieving over the monster, I'm going to adopt another one. I just love the breed. I hate that they're prone to collapsed trachea though. Codie has one; he has to lay elivated in order to breath clearly.

Diana, I am so sorry to hear of your beloved dogs' advancing ages. But I could never apologize for maybe influencing someone to add a new dog to their lives. I think dogs really add joy to a person's life. ;)
Whitney, I had heard of collapsed trachea being a serious problem with Yorkies, but I haven't witnessed it. It sounds terrible. I'm so sorry to hear about Codie- poor thing.

I really enjoy my yorkie, and I definately enjoyed looking at your pictures. Thank you! Yorkies are such a great breed of dog. They are the perfect companions. I think yorkie cross breeds are pretty cute too, although I have a full bred yorkie myself. I posted some really cute pictures of yorkie cross breeds like yorkie-poos and morkies on my tea cup yorkie blog. They are adorable!

Got my first Yorkie in 1979 and have had nothing but since then. My last two lived to 14-1/2 and 15-1/2 years old and I still miss them terribly. Currently have a 1-year-old and a 2-year-old. They are so fierce and cuddly and have no idea they're dogs. Love 'em, love 'em, love 'em!
