I am very successful in a Law Enforcement career and I see the change in the value placed on employees in today's business environment. Luckily, I'm not affected as much by that, but it kills me to watch good people work their tail off, giving their absolute best, striving for promotion and advancement in the organization, just to see people's spirits getting crushed. It made me realize that this whole new era required people to learn, gain knowledge and take more control of their lives.

I started in the direct sales industry 2 years ago and hadn't a clue what I was doing. Was I scared? You bet. Most people thought I was crazy. I make a very comfortable income that most people would dream about.

I had to learn from scratch in this industry. Most of what I learned came from the school of hard knocks because I had mentors who were nice people but had no business background.
