You Have The Lead........ Now What?
53You Have The Lead........ Now What?
Ensure Your Email Marketing Wins The Business With A Good Sales Letter.
Once you start to receive all these great leads delivered to your inbox every week, or if you have purchased Lead Evolution software for yourself, hundreds of new leads in your inbox, what do you do now?
The first thing you need to think about it setting up a standard automatic email that is sent to the lead introducing yourself and your business and outlining exactly how you are going to help your client achieve their goal.
When the leads come in from Lead Evolution, they are usually worded something like; "I require a new website for my soap making business. It will be approximately 6 pages, with the ability to buy product. All content is written. I just need someone who is creative and knows what they are doing. I would like someone who can optimize the site for Google rankings. Please help. Email me with your experience and portfolio. Thank you". Your reply email should be written as though it were a conversation. Light, easy flowing and friendly. You are there to help them. You want to help them. In the text of the letter, you link them to your portfolio and also let them know that you are really excited about their business and that you can get to work on it immediately (if you can). People are very particular and passionate about their websites, especially if it is their first site. To win the business, you also need to show these qualitites.
If you can, offer a discount or special deal for them that has an expiry date, just to hurry them along. Add some testimonals from other clients. Ask them to send you a full brief so you can quote for them, and make sure you do so quickly.
A handy point of difference, is to research their industry and send them to some competitors links, so they can get a feel for layout, colours, content etc.
If you are on skype, give them your address offering face to face communication.
Follow up on all leads, in a friendly manner. Even if you don't win this project, they might contact you for the next.
