In today’s world where nearly everything, every moral value, seems to be deteriorating, a stun gun is no doubt one of the most effective self defense devices. It is not at all a gun actually. No bullets are used here or you cannot shoot anybody by using it. It is a battery operated machine which delivers an electric shock as high as 1 milivolt to the person it is triggered upon. This electric shock makes people senseless or disabled for almost half an hour.

You may be curious about how it works. The electric shock that is delivered from the gun works on the muscle and the nerves of the person it is applied on. It is very user friendly that is why it has become popular among working women, students and travelers as a great protection device. Stun guns work effectively on every person whether he or she is sober, alcoholic or narcotic.

This gun is available in different shapes and sizes though most of them are very small and you can carry them in your purse or wallet, or in your waist pocket. Z-force stun guns are made for smaller hands. The more powerful the gun, the more will be its size and weight. The batteries that are used to power the guns are rechargeable. A few popular stun guns are Runt 950000 volt, Stun Master Hot Shot, Stun Monster, Stun Batons etc. Some of these guns are designed to disguise as a cell phone or flashlight or any other ordinary object. Though the shapes and power of these guns are different the main aim of all these guns are same i.e. self defense without any fatal result or long lasting effect. It is safe to use as the result is not fatal or permanent. Moreover there is no such evidence of psychological or neurological disorder after applying it. Most of the guns have safety switches that work as a check from accidental activation.

Though this device is an innocent weapon, the use of it is restricted in some places and in some states. So before buying it, be sure that it is legal to use where you live.
