Aaron Kirkhouse and Alex Darlington set up Mint Gigs when they were both sixteen, using time between classes to organise gigs at a local venue.
In 2007, when they were both nineteen, they secured the pop band Girls Aloud to perform at a gig they were organising at Oakwood, a theme park in Pembrokeshire.
The chart-topping girl group formed after winning ITV's Popstars: The Rivals, and it is a feather in the cap of the young entrepreneurs that they were able to convince such a high-profile group to travel to the county.
"It's very hard to get bands to come here and it's the first time a band of this size has come here for a long time," Alex told the BBC.
"I think Wales - not just Pembrokeshire - is sometimes overlooked. There are a lot of people living here."
In the early days, Mint Gigs was organising events at local venues with a capacity of just 500.
Since then, they have done larger gigs around Wales, and in Liverpool, but the Oakwood gig is their biggest yet.
Oakwood can hold thousands, and the Mint Gigs team is hoping for crowd of 7,500 on the night, dubbed "Pop in the Park".
Mint Gigs now employs around five staff for events, and is working with some of the world's largest music agencies, including WMA and the Agency Group.
Some of the Bands
Picture Frame Seduction
The band formed in 1978 in Haverfordwest, when 15-year-old punk schoolmates Barrie O'Dare and Keith Haynes decided to emulate their heroes. They played their first gig the following year at the Sir Thomas Picton school as The Frames, having recruited a bassist and drummer. By all accounts they were dreadful. The gig resulted in the departure of O'Dare and the recruitment of a host of transient members, but the band eventually stabilised with singer and bassist Tim Horsley, Rob Folland playing guitar, and Haynes on drums.
Henan Drive
Henan Drive (pronounced "Hee-nun Drive") are a four piece rock band from Swansea, formed in late 2005 after the members finished college, they mainly gig in venues across the South Wales area.
Air Hockey Heroes
Annoyingly catchy riffs and hilarious lyrics make AHH the perfect band to watch under the influence of alcohol.
My Only Enemy
Formed in 2006 by Ex-Blackened Soul guitarists Brett and Jay to explore a new melodic side to the local metal scene.
