Ah, to be young again; I think not! Especially not now. Not with all the overwhelming pressures facing teenagers these days, sexual diseases, and raging hormones. The last thing I'd ever wish for- was to be fifteen or sixteen again. It is no wonder that teenagers today, have more life experiences under their belt by the time they turn 20- than the average adult had at that same age 10, 15 or 20 years ago. First and foremost, pictures of us adults wouldn't have been placed on the World Wide Web, for the whole world to view. It was something that we adults had, but children of today are forced to sacrifice, that 'lil thing we know as pride. I personally don't think teenagers realize, that when a mother like myself sees pictures like these, my respect level for the youth of today goes away down. So too goes my compassion and trust among other things. However, I do commend this generations attitude towards a willingness to accept those who are different, and those who may not be labeled "normal." In that regards, I feel the adult population could actually learn a lesson or two about acceptance.

As well as that maybe, I'm still incline to asking all you adults out there; does it seem to you, that kids these days are irrational complainers, brats, and selfish diplomats? Teenagers today, remind me of some kind of Washington, political lobbyist. I'm sure you know the type I'm talking about... Yeah, them guys! The ones who are basically, political bitches giving this and that to an American Senator, just in order to influence their opinion on something or another. They sell themselves cheap, and ask for too big of a price for the things they want.

I have recently went back to school myself. It has been quite the eye-opening experience. One day last week, two young girls (who received government grant money to pay for their tuition- unlike myself) decided in the middle of lecture to demonstrate to a group of older guys in my class; on just how them gentlemen should kiss a "real" girl. Now mind you already, the guys they were trying to "teach" were 20-25 yrs. old, more importantly however, is the fact that girls weren't "real."

Give me a break- seriously! I honestly felt embarrassed for them. 'Cause, sure those guys are going to give them girls some attention. However, do they honestly think it is the kind of attention they deserve. I think not. I often see our youth of today, acting out in uncontrollable behaviors like previous listed- day in and day out. Which maybe start to think about the situations these young kids are purposely, putting themselves in; and why in the hell they are doing it.

The human spirit and soul, is like any other body part, plant or microorganism that needs to grow. It needs to be nurtured, noticed, and provided an enrich environment in which to flourish and grow. Teenagers these days are screaming for attention. My teenage son always does something stupid, or incredibly foolish when he hasn't received enough attention. Without realizing it, his automatic rebel inside starts to kick in, and his grades start to go downhill and he usually develops a really smart mouth.

I came from a family who was constantly in my shit. I received so much attention, that I couldn't sneeze without my mother and father in my business. Therefore, I was one who liked to fly under the radar of my parents watch tower. However, I don't think that is the issue nowadays. Kids are clearly not receiving what they need from parents these days. It seems that for every decade that passes by- the next one gets more hectic. Which again makes me wonder, is all these advances in technology really that worth it? 'Cause it seems to me; that the bigger our TV sets get, and the faster our computers become, it is our "youth of society" that pays for it. Moreover, if your kid is acting out, or the neighbor kid is hosting orgies on league night; stop and give them something better than a one night stand- try giving them some positive attention.
