Goddess I called you, but woman you are,

With all attendant female joys and woes.

Yet in calling you a goddess, not far

Did I from truth stray, for your beauty shows

In everything you do and say, brightly

Shining every day in goddess-like grace,

Joy embodied. A goddess nightly

Gracing the world like starlight, lovely face

Like joy that floods the heart. To you I run

Every day, pursuing you politely.

I try to show this is not just for fun,

That I would never take you lightly,

For your beauty is only manifest

Of the goddess within who is due

Always to receive each man's very best.

So it is that the music of your voice,

The glory of your smile, the gravity

Of your intelligence, your choice

To heal yourself with creativity

And your practical wit all conspire

To make you the goddess-like woman
