In order to live a healthy life, our body’s acid/alkaline PH balance should be slightly alkaline.

If it is too acid, we are unhealthy.  If it is 100% acid, we are dead.

This PH number can be calculated on a scale from 0 to 14.  A reading of 7.0 is neutral.  If it is below 7.0, it is acid.  If it is above 7.0, it is alkaline.

The ideal PH range is between 7.0 and 7.25.  However, most of us fall in a range between 6.2 and 6.4, an acid reading.

Key factors in having an acid reading are stress, diet, and dehydration.  Most of us have a lot of stress in our lives.  This is a major contributor to our acid level.

As we age, we generally become more acid.

A major reason for this is our poor diet.  We become more acid because we build up acid waste.  We are probably eating around 80% acid foods compared to 20% alkaline.  We should be eating the exact opposite of this ratio.

Let’s take a look at what most of us eat.  Most of us eat a lot of commercially processed food which is very acid.  Here is a list of very acid foods just to name a few:  beef, pork, fish, turkey, chicken, pasta, hamburgers, hot dogs, ice cream, cheese, bread, butter, cookies, crackers, eggs, rice, and cereal.  Sugar and artificial sweeteners are a large part of our diet and are extremely acidic.

Did you see any of your favorite foods on the list?  I sure did.

What are some good alkaline foods?  Fresh fruits and vegetables are best.  How many of these do you eat each day?

Dehydration is another factor in our acid level.  In fact, seven out of ten people are chronically dehydrated.  This results in the urge to eat all the time.  The thirst mechanism is mistaken for hunger.

There is a long list of diseases that could be caused by an acidic PH level in your body.

They include lack of energy, frequent colds, migraine headaches, diabetes, blurred vision, fatigue, insomnia, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, skin irritations, Candida Albicans, viruses, irritable bowels, constipation, diarrhea, acid reflux, ulcers, and many others.

Here are a couple of good things about all of this.  First, your body’s acid/alkaline PH balance can be tested very easily.

Secondly, a good product can adjust your PH balance to the right level.

Finding a good product that easily brings your body’s acid/alkaline PH balance to the proper optimum level is critical.  This means it’s not necessary to completely give up all the foods you enjoy each day.
