Each year an estimated 7 million healthy and adoptable pets are euthanized in US shelters! So as you are reading this petition lost and homeless dogs, cats even puppies and kittens by the thousands are going through terrifying and painful death either by heartsticks, gas chambers or lethal injections all across United States. These euthanasia, however, need not to happen because all these pets are perfectly healthy, yes, some may have the cold and or are badly neglected or abused. Innocent, healthy and curable dogs, cats even puppies and kittens by the thousands go through terrifying and painful death by heart sticks, gas chambers and lethal injections at MA pounds each year simply because of inadequate funding by counties to update and expand shelters (Most pounds only have 16-25 pens to serve the entire county!). And hundreds are secretly "euthanized" at veterinarian institutes because there are no law to protect healthy or treatable animals from these deadly experiments!

So please make it unlawful to kill healthy or treatable animals because after all, according to Alley Cat Allies survey 70% of Americans think it is inhumane to euthanize healthy animals so we definitely do not want our tax money paying for the "euthanasia" rather than building adequate housing and enforcing humane practices at vet schools.
