Zombie Drink - A Potent Potable

A Zombie drink is a potent little cocktail that is perfect for adult Halloween parties. It's not called a Zombie for nothing! Zombie drinks are also popular at Tiki bars.

Zombie drinks are tasty, but if you don't like rum, I suggest you pass on this mixed drink. Making a Zombie drink isn't difficult at all. Even the amounts in a Zombie drink cocktail are easy.

Here is how to make a Zombie drink:

Zombie Drink Recipe Ingredients

  • 1 ounce each- Jamaican rum, light rum, orange juice, lime juice, and pineapple juice
  • 1 teaspoon confectioner's sugar
  • 1/4 - 1/2 ounce Bacardi 151 rum (your preference)


How to Make a Zombie Drink

Shake the first six Zombie drink ingredients well in a cocktail shaker filled with ice cubes. Shake for about 30 seconds.

Strain into a highball, hurricane, or Collins glass filled with ice.

"Float" the 151 rum on top. Do this by slowly pouring the rum into the glass over the back of a spoon.

Your Zombie drink may be garnished with a slice of pineapple or orange and a maraschino cherry if you wish.

Please consume Zombie drinks with caution. A Zombie drink carries a lot of kick. The citrus juices in the cocktail will mellow the alcohol, but a Zombie drink is actually very strong. Many establishments limit the amount of Zombie drinks that they will serve.
