Zrii is a product that is not unlike its peers in the world of functional health beverages. I am sure you have all heard of Noni, Goji, Mona Vie, or XANGO. Perhaps you are a loyal customer, distributor, or have tasted the above. All of these brands have become household names over the years; due not so much to aggressive advertising or branding by these companies, but more recently by a form of marketing, called network marketing, or in some circles MLM. I remember a family friend saying, “If it is not good enough to be on the shelf, than it not good enough for me”. What people don’t realize is when they go to buy a product at the store everyone has to get paid from the CEO to the Operations Manager, the Warehouse Manager, to the secretary. Business is business and everything whether it be music, movies, or functional health beverages must be marketed before they can be sold, and the company can re-cover its on-going costs and hopefully make a profit. With the high costs of marketing and advertising it is not uncommon for a company to spend as much as 50% of their operating capital on continually making sure that their products are seen over and over again in the public eye. There is a reason that Super Bowl Ads cost well over a few million dollars for a quick 30 Second Commercial. It’s also not taking into account all of the thousands perhaps millions that it cost the advertiser to produce the commercial.

Network Marketing is a great way for a company to build a brand or product without having to devote a ton of money to advertising and marketing. How this is done is through distributors who simply share the products through word of mouth, local advertising, or in some cases regional, or national advertising. However, the difference is the companies don’t pay for the advertising if there is any, the distributors do. And the company offers an incentive, that if anyone buys their products rather than paying an ad agency, or a lot of upfront money on advertising, which generally needs to be paid before a profit is earned. These companies sell their product through their distributors who market all of their products for them. It is a great business model for just about anyone, as it allows for less money to be spent on advertising. Rather than making the advertising agencies rich in network marketing the profits are shared among the distributors and the distributors in some cases can achieve great wealth.

Why the popularity of functional health beverages? There are a few reasons that I am aware of to the rise of these beverages. One is that they don’t have to go through the rigorous testing and drug trials that pills do, as they are considered a food or supplement not a drug. They also are very conventional and have many benefits as they are marketed in conjunction with a plant or fruit like the mangosteen, acai berry, or in Zrii’s case the Amalaki fruit. The beverages are all pretty much the same in the sense that they all offer health benefits and are all very similar in cost. I guess the difference is simply just a matter of preference. It is the reason that some people only drink Pepsi and some people only drink Coke. But what I believe makes Zrii far more superior than the rest of the products and the fact that I really think it is in a league of its own is that Zrii has received a 3rd party endorsement from Deepak Chopra. His name alone add incredible credibility to the product and will definitely make Zrii a household name in the next few years. So the next time you come across Zrii, XANGO, Mona Vie, Noni, or Goji. Just remember that those products became household names, not because of big advertising budgets or campaigns, but because of people just like you and me; who for one reason or another found something they liked in these products and shared them with others.
