Purple is another neutral color for a little boy or girl believe it or not! Along with green and yellow as well. It is a wonderful accent color. I would suggest to serve your guests with miniature sized food! Beverages can range from frozen drinks to grape juice ! See how you can really take one color and blend it with your theme. These small details really make people wonder how you come up with it! It's really the common things we use every day but we always seem to over think when a big event comes up. Stay simple and it will go along way.

A new trend is outdoor baby showers. I have come up with a concept for outdoor in my photos. I used the idea of a birds nest and found a unique table setting that works beautifully. When you really start thinking of outdoors so many things came to my mind. For Example, the stork, umbrella for sun and rain showers, baby carriage for long walks and shopping, flowers, butterflies and many more as soon as I started writing the theme down. I would suggest to get a pen and paper and really think of what you would like to do. Before you know it, you will have a whole page of decorations, creative food, activities that you never would of thought of until you really just think of the every day routines we do. Also have you thought of capturing the 9 months your pregnant?! Well it is a great idea to take photos and once you have your baby shower you can have them displayed as an extra personal touch to the decor with cute place card holders that can also be used as photo holders.

Another concept I thought, heck, when you have a baby the first few months your up at night. Well why not make a NIGHT THEME baby shower! You can have stuff animals as your table decorations and around the room, even have a classic baby movie running while your opening up your gifts as we all know its exciting to see what you got, it can also become slight boring for many of us. Its a great alternative! For food, you can let your guests know its a night theme so it calls for night food which can be small sandwiches, cake, coffee, cookies, movie snacks, pastries, and milk. You can even have your guests bake cookies or as a activity make cookies! Let them help you put the baby to sleep by having them bring you a children's book for the wishing well. It's a very non-traditional concept, but hey why copy the tradition when you are your very own unique self. You can start the next TREND!
