For The Shamelessly Disorganized

For those of you out there who might be wondering, this is not a story about those mysterious black boxes the authorities are always in search of after any newsworthy plane crash. This is the black box that will hold all of the important cords in your house (except for heart strings) that are hidden under desks and things but are usually tangled. The Kanga Room Black Box Cord Organizer has come to the rescue for those who cannot bear to look at the huddled masses that have made their way from the Statue of Liberty to your house any longer. The Black Box Cord Organizer from Kanga Room sits on the floor and its job is to keep all of those cords out of sight behind a sliding glass door. (This will not work for unhappy guests and recalcitrant relatives, but it does well with cords.)

Cords are a necessity of life and will be until the day comes when electricity is wireless. They need to be hidden though and that is the one thing the Kanga Room Black Box Cord Organizer can do. (In fact, it is the only thing the Black Box Cord Organizer can do.) The Black Box Cord Organizer has two shelves which accommodate modems and adapters, plenty of room for a standard size or larger surge protector, nine prongs to wrap excess cord and left and right side openings. Made of flame-resistant black acrylic, there are 5 ventilation strips in the back and 4 “2”X “2- ½” rectangular cut outs for cord feed. The Black Box Cord Organizer is 13 inches long, 12.875 inches wide and 3.25 inches deep.

The Kanga Room Black Box Cord organizer is a bit pricey at 60 bucks. Still, we must all ask the question of the day:

It’s noon. Do you know where your cords are?
