Will This Ever Stop?

Hello, Kitty has taken over the lives of many otherwise normal people. Buyers of the myriad of products look just like you and me although their children are somehow different. It would seem that a certain phenomenon has arisen surrounding these products, for they are either revered or despised, leaving little middle ground to run for office.

Among the plethora of Hello Kitty items to burst upon the market is the nifty little Hello Kitty Crockpot, which, even dissenters agree, has its own distinct charm. While Julia Child may have been the queen of the kitchen during her gourmet lifetime, the Hello Kitty Crockpot is the chef of the day when it comes to nurturing children approaching those dangerous tween years with chef-like aspirations. (It’s a precarious time anyway, but that’s another story.)

The Hello Kitty Crockpot is not likely to start a cooking revolution or become the object of worship in new and/or old Hello Kitty cult groups. It will, however, prove itself to be a surprisingly effective kitchen appliance for stewing meats, vegetables and recalcitrant undesirables with the end result of creating old-fashioned stews that might have made Grandma proud. To simmer cutely is worth something, one must suppose. How else could the old saying, “Pretty is as pretty does” have made its way to our doorsteps and in this case, into our kitchens?

The Hello Kitty Crockpot has its merits, for it makes cooking easy even for the most culinary-challenged among us. Soups, roasts, stews and chowders can be turned out in relative ease, and very cutely at that. It isn’t likely that the Hello Kitty Crockpot will win any hi-tech appliance awards for being sleek, snazzy and top-of-the line, but then again, these days, how long can fame last anyway? It is not clear at this point where these crockpots can be purchased, as they are very new.

Watch out for them though, as the Hello Kitty Crockpot as well as the other Hello Kitty products may soon take over all of your life thought and kitchen too!

Hello, Kitty! Sit down.
