Solar-powered Barbecue on Sale

A SOLAR-POWERED barbecue has gone on sale in the UK, allowing fans of outdoor cooking to enjoy summer without fear of harming the environment.

This solar powered barbecue is manufactured by Swiss Company Tammock Trading. The Solar-Grill has special mirrors that focus the sun light onto the cooking area and cooks the vegetables, meat and meals directly from sunlight. No electricity, gas, coals, or lighting the fire is needed to barbecue the products, just the intense focus of the heat on the cooking cup area, is sufficient to cook the food. The heat is conveyed from all sides for even heating of the product and the manufacturer claims there is no turning of the product is necessary.

It has foldable mirrors, and lightweight so it can be easily carried to a camping area. Since some areas have fire restrictions to cook the products, this solar powered barbecue will solve the problem.

Tammock Trading sells this product via the internet for £125 ($300).

Tammock Trading chief executive officer Rolf Schneeberger said the company was playing a part in helping people become more environmentally friendly. He said the Solar-Grill doesn't cause any smoke, no open fire and thus no pollution and wants to contribute for the environment with this product.
