#5 = Compensation PLANS:
An important consideration in picking a network marketing company
to join is the compensation plan. There are a multitude of these.
Some of them are so complex it takes a certified accountant and
wall charts to figure them out. The two most common basic plans
are relatively simple although some companies manage to make them
extraordinarily complex.
The two most common plans are the UNI-LEVEL and the BINARY
UNI-LEVEL:
*everyone you and roll is on the same level. It is one big
horizontal line.
*this can be good for the person that knows a great many people.
*it is rare for the average person to do well with this plan.
*there is no incentive for anyone except the enroller to assist
anyone else.
BINARY:
*the appeal of this one is there are only two legs (teams) to build.
*you put the person you and roll in either the left or the right
leg.
*the usual method is to pay you based upon one third of one leg and
two thirds in the other leg.
*that is, you get paid based upon the weaker leg.
if you have so many points in one leg and twice that many in the
other leg then you gets a paycheck.
*the problem here is that usually one leg greatly surpasses the
other leg.
*and less you can build up the weaker leg everything extra in the
stronger leg is a waste to you.
*this can be a very lucrative plan for some people but for most
people it is not because they have difficulty in balancing the legs properly.
Some systems may be set to automatic so that it puts the first person in the left leg and the second person in the right leg in the third person in the left leg and so on. Again this leads to an imbalance in less you turn off the automatic system and increase one leg to the two thirds level.
There are a few systems which operate with a 5050 system. This is far and away the best way to go and can be set on automatic with no problems.
*Again, there is little incentive for anyone to help anyone else except for those in their direct downline.
INFINITE DOWNLINE BUILDER:
This is a new innovative, creative plan in which every one that joins after you, regardless of who brought them into the company, goes into the downline under everyone that came before them.
One gets paid for recruiting people and directly sponsoring them, a percentage of what those people produce, their own retail sales and various pools.
As one progresses in the company they are part of a pool and receive a portion of 1%, 4%, 8%, and 12% of total company sales. Notice that is sales and not profit. As you progress upward you still stay in the pools below you. The company has reserved 25% of its total sales to be divided among its producers.
*The last person to join can be at the top of the company because when the seventh level is achieved they keep their position and get another free one at the top of the list.
*as you can see it is to everyone's benefit to help everyone else in the upline and downline because everyone that joins contributes to the pools.
Know and understand whatever compensation plan you have in your
company because you will be asked about this by people you are
trying to enroll more than any thing else.
Which plan should you choose? It is not as easy as that. It depends on your personality and attitude to some extent and to your other criteria.
Remember, the lead generation programs I've told you about is not an MLM. It does use a combination of all of the above, sort of.
I would be happy to give you my suggestions on any specific plan you are deciding on.
