"aXXo Has Been Arrested" Rumor Is Not True

The infamous DVD ripper aXXo has apparently been arrested today by police on the grounds of mass video piracy. The popular, dubbed 'Internet Legend' aXXo's arrest follows the closing down of torrent sites such as oink.com, although not related this trend of action seems to be spreading to the individual piraters.
Downloading via torrent programs such as bittorrent and utorrent are the latest most popular way to download full length films and music albums for free. The sites which offer these downloads are being hunted by the authorities and other law enforcement agencies. These sites however do not store any of this material it is stored on users computers and site simply supplies the link to enable someone to link with the material through one or several sources.
aXXo who's real identity has not yet been revealed, and rumors of why his name has not been revealed range from him being a minor so the authorities can not release his name to the fact that the authorities don't want him to gain 'kudos' for supplying the world with so many apparently great quality movie downloads.
However in a interview with him carried out by Torrent Freak earlier this year he says "When I was about 15 or 16 I got into backing up my old DVD’s. History from there." so people dismiss the claim he is a minor.
The charges against him will be for mass piracy and most likely distribution of pirated video. Is this a sad day for the internet? Yes, Is it a sad day for the film industry? No.

Oh wait, yes I can! Let's just take a minute to think about what's in front of us...
Who really thinks that someone like aXXo (man or machine/ male or female) would really be dumb enough to post comments logged in as aXXo!
Someone as intelligent as aXXo, if not arrested, would just sit back and enjoy reading all of the posts from all of the idiots (claiming to be aXXo) that just can't seem to either spell words correctly or place them in proper sentence structure. Furthermore, the simple satisfaction of seeing many people attemping to impersonate aXXo, unaware or oblivious to the fact opening themselves up to possible implication or persecution, would be pure orgasmic bliss as the attention focused from law enforcement would be spread more upon these individuals and less directly at the real aXXo.

I would like to add in...as where I came from, my country has only been releasing DVD, with a very expensive price and I can get 8 pirate copy compare to the original DVD (which is not a good copy). and one more thing that sickens me....is the censored part....sometimes I just can't understand the movie at all with the cutting. is it worth it? to buy the original? or to get a pirate copy from the store? to me i have no choice then to get from downloads.

Okay here goes. Yes, I've seen tons of aXXo fans and I myself am a true aXXo fan, but let's look a bit deeper. First off, aXXo doesn't rip Dvds. He simple re-encondes them, for e.g. he gets a pirated movie already present on Scene and polishes it and maybe compresses to 700 mb or around that.

This is the very reason why the Scene members are so pissed off, since he doesn't get hold of the pre-releases himself at the beginning, he just takes whats already there; yet him and other uploaders like Fxg etc. are getting way more popular, since the Scene isn't really about money, or even consumption, but mostly fame and claiming credit.But then, thats aXXO genius =DRemember people, sharing is human instinct!!
As for other websites than PirateBay (who right now is going through their lawsuit), isoHunt filed to sue MPAA after they tried to sue them Lol! isoHunt claimed it was only a torrent listing search engine (for ex. like Google but for torrents) since the torrents are never actually stored on the website servers themsevles, they are only linked.
