maytag washing machine--model-mav6000aww-the customer told me that she is only getting hot water to come into the machine no matter what setting she set the machine on, even on the cold setting she is getting steaming hot water, i thought this might be a burnt water valve,( i use the model number she gave me to order a water valve), it usually is but this model carries a --analog temperature control--it's a little computer board that is mounted on the back of the timer, this little board controls the temperature of the water coming into the machine there is a picture below.

  • Whirlpool Polara Refrigerated Range

This is a stove that has the capability to also be used as a refrigerator, this stove was introduced about 6 years ago. The idea behind this stove is that it gives the owner the options to take the chicken out of the refrigerator and place it into the oven where it can be kept cool for several hours. With the stove set to the cooling mode cooking can be set to start at a later time. - 4 months ago

  • Clothes Dryer

There are two types of clothes dryers one is gas the other is electric. The gas dryer is half gas and half electric, the gas is used for lighting a flame to create the heat to dry the clothes, the electric is used to operate the motor, timer, ignitor, coil kit and thermostats. - 4 months ago

  • Whirlpool Washing Machine - Don't Wash or Spin

Washing machines made by Whirlpool, Sears, Kenmore and Kitchen Aid, these newer machines are called direct drive, the older machines used a belt and motor to drive the transmission. These direct drive machines use a coupling to drive the gearcase, this coupling is connected to the motor and the gearcase, the couplings sometimes break. When this happens the machine will take in water and drain as this does not affect the pump, when the coupler breaks, the machine will not wash or spin because the motor is not connected to the gearcase, at the end of the cycle you will find that the clothes are wet but not washed. - 4 months ago
