Sherin was born in Bangalore. She studied in BaldwinGirlsHigh School, which is regarded as one of the good schools in Bangalore. She started modeling in her teen ages and she got the chance to act in her first film when she was only 16 years old in the Kannada film Dhruva. After that, she was flooded with offers to act in Hindi, Tamil and Malayalam movies. She made the youngsters' hearts skip a beat with her first film. She came in just a few scenes in her second film Jaya but managed to liven them up by her vivacious presence. Followed was Student No. 1 where she played opposite debut Sibi Raj (Sathyaraj’s son). She was critically acclaimed for her performance in the film Whistle. She is flooded with offers from kannada, Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi films. She is choosy and prefers to accept only roles, which has scope for acting.

She recently appeared in the hit Malayalam film Moonnamathoral, cor-staring with Jayaram, Jyothirmai and Vineeth. Sherin is staring together with Nanda for the film Urchagam, which was previously titled Coffee Shop. She also appeared in the film Bheema.
