With all the hype out there about Google's AdSense, it seems that some of it may be getting lost in the shuffle. I have a few AdSense secrets that I really need to share just to make the playing field a little more even for everyone. You've heard it all before, how you have to build a website that focuses on one subject with the right keyword percentage, how the right borders, text size and colors can get you more money per click. Well, now I am going to let you in on a few little AdSense secrets that I have noticed.

AdSense secret number one, it's not just how many clicks you get on your website, it's also based on several other factors. Let's start with the domain topic. It has to be applicable to the ad or ads that you are running on your site. If a visitor clicks on an ad for water faucets and your website topic is about Africa's wild animals, that click will be discounted. Let's make every click count to its' fullest potential.

Keep it relevant. AdSense secret number two, the longer you have had your account with Google, it seems they pay a more per click. All of these new websites out there tend to fizzle out pretty quick, so if you have had your website up and running for some time with AdSense on it, you are going to make more just because you are a reliable horse in a great big race. What is the third AdSense secret?

Clicks that originate from outside your country will get paid more, too. Let's say you are in Uruguay and a visitor from China clicks your link to a product in the United States, you will get paid more for that click than you would if your visitor were also from Uruguay. Depending on when you have the most visitors can also make an impact upon your pay per click (PPC). This would be the final AdSense secret that is not well known. For example, let's say that you have over a thousand visitors during normal business hours and twenty percent of them click through your site.

Now let's say that you only have forty visitors from two in the morning until four the same morning and two percent of those forty click through your site. You may receive more PPC during those two hours. This could also be read in complete reverse.

This is not really an AdSense secret. What is happening here is that when an advertiser signs on with Google, their contract states which hours they are willing to pay more for advertising. If you find that you are having better paying clicks at different times, or maybe your site is simply not cohesive enough, change it around, make it better and watch your PPC money grow.
