I usually have skin problems like pimples and as a result I started to do a research on how to have a healthy skin and at the same time I wondered what would be the right time to start using antiaging products.

 


Essential nutrients for a healthy skin and antiaging tips

 Age is just a number, your skin can lie about about your age depending on how healthy you eat and in some extense, how much you exercise. Here are some healthy foods and drinks which will not only help you get a healthy smooth, beautiful skin and prevent wrinkles, but will improve your health in general.

Green Tea- green tea has a wide range of benefits. Just to mention, cool ice tea helps in loosing weight especially when you exercise regulary, a study done on 12630 chinese women showed that Green tea reduces the possibilty of getting breast cancer by 12%, Three cups a day of Black tea or just as well as green tea reduces the risk of getting strokes by 21%. Back to our main topic, healthy skin, Green tea has been found over the years to be one of the skin friendly beverages because it has a great amount of Polyphenols. Polyphenols are antioxidants which neutralize free radicles and may reduce or prevent some of the damages they cause. Just for your information, free radicles occur naturally in the body but environmental toxins (such as Uv light, cigarret smoke and air pollution) also give rise to these damaging particles. Many scientist believe that free radicles contribute a great deal in aging process as well as many health problems such as cancer and heart deseases. Practitioners in the in asia used green tee to heal wounds on skin, controll bleeding and to improve heart health. So drink 4 cups of tea a day for a healthy skin, body and as a remedy against wrinkles.

 

 

Grab a tomato for a healthy skin

A study in germany showed that tomatoes can help in preventing sunburns and that they are a great sourse of Lycopene (which is an antioxidant), It helps in the reduction of free redicles which (I just pointed in the tee section) contibute to the aging of the skin by damaging the skin cells. It is therefore important to eat atleast two tomatoes a day as a natural antiaging remedy. Tomatoes are also considered to have a high amout of carotenoid. This a natural pigment found in plants, and is used mainly for photosinthesis (just a little high school biology) Apparently carotenoids are very important as they are a source of vitamin A and antioxidantas well. It is not only going to improve your skin appearance, nut your general health. It also helps in preventing your skin from sunburn and its antioxidative potential helps in enhancement of your immune system.

Causes of aging skin

Reaserches have shown that there are infact two distict types of aging process.

  • intrinsic-internal
  • extrinsic-external

Intrinsic aging This is the internal aging process which occurs naturally within our bodies and starts in our mid 20s. The proecess is so slow and may take very long for its effects to be noticed. Within the skin the collagen and elastin production slows down, the substances that make the skin to snap and stay in place. dead skin cells do not shed quickly and the turn over to new skin cells reduce abit. Fine wrickles, dry skin that may be etchy, inability to sweat enough to cool the skin, loss of underlying skin fat that may to the sagging of the skin or hollow cheeks are just a few of the aging signs.The rate of intrinsic aging process is determined by the gene one may have. For this reason it is not easy to really determine the right age to start using the anti-aging-creams. Some people may tent to show wrinkle in their late 20s and others may not show any signs till theirlate 40s. So it is advicable to start using the antiaging creams when you start to notice fine lines, or if you are really concerned pay your dermatologist a visit. Your dermatologist can advice you better, after determining your skin type age and the best creams or treatments for your skin. 

Extrinsic aging this are oa number of external factors that contribute a great deal in the aging of the skin. These aging factors include, Uv light, smoking, gravity, sleeping position, facial expressions among others. The extrinsic aging process cause premature aging of the skin. Photoaging is a dermatologist term of the aging cause by the sun and this depends mainly on the amount of melanin in your skin.

Eat salom. Salmon hve a great amount of Asthaxanthin which is a naturall occuring Carrotenoid pigment,and a powerful biological antioxidant. Astaxanthin exibits strong scavenging of free radicals and prevent rapid perioxidation of LDLcolestrol, cell mebrane( which is the biggest part of skin) as well as tissue. Astaxanthin is an Antioxidant and can be very helpful in reducing the skin aging process as well as wrinkles. Astaxanthin in salmons can reduce or prevent wrinkles because it contains carotenoids which improve the skin elasticity so that the skin has fewer fine lines. The carotenoid in astaxanthin can easily turn into vitamin A unlike others. Even so it is very important to be careful about which salmons you eat because of the environmental pollution and the precence of mercury in water (just a word of caution).

If you are a vegeterian or may be not a fun of eating fish, then you can eat walnuts. They are not only a rich source of healthy protein but also Omega 3s fatty acids. The Omega 3s fatty acid actually improve your beauty (for all beauty lovers this is very essential) because it makes the hair grow and shine,As for the skin, the Omega 3s Fatty acid is so generous in helping it to be smooth and look young and that is another secret of a healthy skin and an antiaging remedy.

. Eat beans for a healthy skin.Beans are a good source of protein which breaks down to amino acids during digestion. The amino acids helps in repairing the damaged cells of the skin. As i pointed out, the free radicles can damage the skin cells and it is therefore important to repair the damged cells by taking proteins; like beans which help speed up the repair and regeneration of skin cells and collagen.

The skin tissue has collagen fibre, wrinkles occur when the skin collagen fibre breaks down. The antioxidants help the body fight the symptoms of aging (and therefore keep the skin healthy and wrinkle free) as well as keep the blood cells healthy. Vitamin C also gets lead off toxic substances that can cause cancer. Studiees showed that the vitamin fights acts as an antiaging remedy better, if it is applied at night.

Vitamin E usually labelled as DL-Alpha-Tocopherol. It slows the action of wrinkles on skin and the aging process on the skin. It is also essential in the protection of skin against the effects of UV-light. UV light can cause skin cancer. In foods you can obtain it from most of of the vegetable oils, margerine,and green vegetables.

Vitamin B3, the scientific name for vitamin b3 is Niacin,It is water soluble and it stimulates micro circulation in the dermis skin layer thus making your skin to look young and beautiful. Vitamin b3 is therefor a label you should look for as a natural exfoliator. It is more effective than vaseline in keeping the skin mosturised and it helps in the distribution of melanin to skin thus inhibiting the irregular pigmentation process.

How you treat your skin every day will go along way in determining how it is going to look in the next 20 or 10 years to come. You skin care routine from the time you wake up to the time you go to sleep. No I do not mean that you spend the whole day on the mirror or in the bath room just to look after your skin, but you should not be ignorant either. Here I will just point out a few things that you probably know, but if you do not then take note of them.

Cold water- yes i know it may sound crazy but washing your face in the morning with cold water makes your skin to remain young according to the studies carried out by some practitioners in USA. this helps to keep the wrinkles away too. Even so do not use too cold water as it may cause brocken pillaries and make your skin appear blotchy.

Clean your face- actually this is the foundation of a beautiful healthy skin skin but some people tend to over do it, or use some soaps that are not skin friendly. this means that their skin it left without natural oils which are very important for a young lookimg skin.

Remove make up- Every time you before you go to sleep, remove make up by cleaning your facial skin with with the right cleanser for your skin type (that is oily skin type cleanser, dry skin type cleanser or normal skin type). This allows your skin to relax and excreate making it healhy and beautiful.

Upward circular motion- when applying your make-up on your facial skin, apply gently by a circular upward motion. This will help to prevent your facial skin from sagging, it also help better circulation of blood in the skin tissue and as a result your skin remains healthy because of the distribution of important nutrients by blood. The gentle upward circular rubbing of the skin stimulates the production of natural skin oil which is important in the mantainance of a young looking skin.Make this as a part of your dairy skin care routine.

Exfoliate- Exfoliate your skin as often as you can but do not over do it. As I pointed out earlier, Retnoids are very good natural exfoliators, which removes the dead cells giving rise to the new skin cells and as a result your skin will not only look young and beautiful but it will glow as well. It is better to exfoliate your skin at night because then ayou will be cleaning your skin pores which is essential for the relaxation of the skin.

Moisturize your skin- it is very important to moisturize your skin after bathing even if you have an oily skin this helps the skin to glow as well and keep it beautiful and young looking.

Protect your skin from harmful environmetal factors- Uv light very harmful to your skin and it can cause skin cancer, For this reason it is important to apply a good sunscreen cream with vitamin E. As part of your daily skin care routine make sure you apply to every part of your skin which is exposed to the sun.

 

 

Beautiful healthy skin and antiaging skin treatments

While you can not really stop the natural intrinsic aging process, or even slow it down, you can prevent the premature aging of the skin which mainly cause wrinkles and fine lines. To prevent premature aging of your skin, do the following

Protect your skin from the sun While it is true that the sun can make your skin beautiful and healthy. it is also true that it can damage your skin if you expose yourself too much. It would be even more dangerous if you do not use a good sun cream. Dermatologist recommend a comprehensive sun protection (to prevent pre-mature aging of the skin) which includes.

  • Avoiding deliberate tanning, including the use of indoor tanning devices.
  • Avoid sun exposure between 10.00am and 4.00pm, when the sun rays are strongest.
  • wear long sleeved cloths or large huts during the day when walking in the sun.
  • Apply a good sun screen which offers UVA and UVB protection. A good sunscreen cream should have a sun protection factor (SPF) of 15 or higher. you should apply your sun screen atleast 20 min before going out in to the sun.

If you are worried about wrinkles or may be pre-mature aging; there are a number of good anti-aging treatments available and the scientific world is very positive about the new anti-aging treatments being discovered. Here are some of the anti-aging treatments available:

  2. botulinum toxins, suitable for people with abusy lifestyle.
