Why The Funky Colors?

Often I am asked by clients," Why the funky colors?" First, if your just starting out, Kandy paint is the most demanding of all finishes and although I encourage you to try, you should definitely have some experience under your belt first. Now,the reason why I use such off the wall colors is because Kandy Paint is basically a clear coat with any given tint making it similar to looking through a colored window. So, for this reason we must think ahead to the finished result wanted. For example, I chose the red base because it allows me to use less Kandy by covering alot more surface area in half the time without altering the finishing color results. By this I mean, looking through a red lens at the color red still gives you red just a bit more intense or deeper in color. This technique will save you time and money.

The same goes for the color choices on striping. My goal was to achieve a rich Kandy apple red and orange flames with brilliant almost fluorescent red striping. So once again .....Looking through a red lens at white gives you a super bright red as with yellow an awesome orange and so forth........SO ALWAYS REMEBER THE FINAL COLOR WILL BE THE RESULT OF THE TWO COLORS TOGETHER . Be creative and have fun with it, there endless combinations.
