Blue is the colour of the sky and the ocean, it has a calming effect and it is considered to be one of the most profound colours. It can be steadfast or light or friendly.
Peaceful, tranquil blue causes the body to produce calming chemicals, so it is often used in bedrooms, It's a great bedroom color as it slows the human nervous system and produces a calming effect that prepares the body to nod off to sleep.
It can soften bright rooms, making one feel comforted and at peace. On the other hand, certain blues can make the viewer feel cold and depress. Blues that are too dark have the same effect as black.
Blue is the color of logic, activates the mind
Blue conveys trust, peace and order, it could be considerd safe. Dark navy is often associated with authority and law and order, many police forces use navy for their uniforms.
Medium shades of blue, such as cornflower, lapis and sapphire are all great colors to brighten up your wardrobe throughout the year.
The lighter shades such as powder blue, bluebell and sky blue make wonderful colors for special occasion when a feminine look may be required. Team with darker shades such as navy and grey, they become great colors for shirts and top.
Blue is the least "gender specific" color, having equal appeal to both men and women

Blue church cupolas, windows, doors, walls, staircases and fences, will provide protection from Evil. Blue-turquoise stones on jewelry, belts and weapons, will safeguard people and animals and against Evil. Blue "eyes" and blue stones mounted on gold and silver are presented to babies and small children as a talisman for protection.
