The Caribbean is renowned for being the destination for tourists who want an all inclusive vacation. These islands are the capital of the world for all inclusive Caribbean vacations, so much so that they outsell any other type of vacation available. Many people believe that it is due to a drive to attract a greater number of tourists to the area; however, there is very little evidence that this is the case.

It could just be because all inclusive Caribbean vacations can be less expensive overall and easier to manage; the amount of spending money required is minimal, a fact that is not missed by families. These vacations can even be tailored to suit individual needs where they are designed to suit a particular type of visitor. Many people traveling to the islands are returning to see family and not so much is needed; these people don't normally need to arrange for a place to stay as their relatives would be offended if they were to book into a hotel.

For the average tourist and his family, an all inclusive Caribbean vacation is the more likely scenario with costs manageable right from the start. Because the tour operators book large numbers of vacations, this is quite likely less expensive than if you tried to book your flight, accommodation and food independently. However tempting, this type of arrangement does not suit everyone and there are still a number of people who remain die hard independent travelers. Many people are still unsure of what to expect from an all inclusive vacation even though they have now been around for a good many years.

Every vacation includes the accommodation and that is the only consistent part of a vacation except where a flight has been booked on its own. All meals and any additional food are included in this type of package but that is not always the case; this arrangement can vary but the majority will at least supply a cooked or continental breakfast. Many people can get confused between a full board package and an all inclusive package vacation.

Simply put, a full board hotel arrangement means that you will be supplied with three meals each day whilst an all inclusive Caribbean vacation resort will supply all food at any time (including snacks) and the same for drink as well; alcoholic and non-alcoholic. It is not unusual to find that special arrangements have been made with other hotels and restaurants; normally there will be an additional (usually lower) cost attached nevertheless. For a person or family booked on an all inclusive Caribbean vacation, there is little to pay; in fact you will be hard pushed to find events and situations where you will need money, which means you are able to enjoy more without the worry of additional cost.
