So What's The Big Deal?

Games have always been an integral part of a child and a teenager’s life. But, no more, is it going to be confined as the integral part only in a child or a teenager’s life, but of anyone’s life, for that matter. This is because of the flagrant hype that’s created due to the high end gaming consoles that have arrived in the market. As to say, there is many such kind of gaming consoles, but according to my viewpoint X Box 360 is the best. Adding to its traits are the games that are formulated for it. One of the many games that is receiving enough publicity is Alone in the Dark for the X Box 360 series.

Alone in the Dark was one of the earliest gaming series formulated as a dark, scary and creepy horror series. It bought the trend of horror into gaming long back in 1992. One has to admit that it came with a real bang, but it did not manage to sustain or hold the candle to its following games. Then too, despite of the fact that you have an affinity towards Resident Evil or a Silent Hill, you have to pull your hats off for managing to be the godfather of it all and daring to create a revolution way back in 1992. However, Alone in the Dark, which was lost as in terms of series releases, but remembered as a memorable one in the minds and hearts of many, promises to return with another fist punching bang with Eden Studios serving as the developers., Besides, they are not trying to repeat the successful mantra used in the first game which was a hit, but trying to return with innovation in mind, spelling an all new and flabbergasting game. It claims that the things which you will be seeing in this game have never existed in any other game before. Whether or not, they would be transforming the gaming trends, does remain to be seen. A true cinematic approach will be one thing that is expected in a sure shot way. Also, the game is integrated or split up into episodes, unlike other games where it is integrated into chapters. More so, every chapter has its own story accompanied with cliff hangers and plot twists. It appears almost like a hour long TV drama. Besides, to make it more like TV episodes and also interesting, it is equipped with Recap feature to take you back from where you started and continuing from where you stopped. In the pause menu, there exists a DVD style interface that allows you to on the finished and executed chapters too. Also, you can reach out to chapters that you did not play. The main motive behind this is to make it easy for the less experiences gamers. All in all, it is an exhilarating concept and is fodder for all kind of gamers.
