After getting the degree in Psychology, She began her profession as an actress. She made her debut with a film 'Ab Ke Baras' in 2002. But she became famous with her film 'Ishq Vishk' in year 2003. In this film she earned the 'girl next door' image. In 2004 her films 'Masti' and 'Main Hoon Na' are also successful. She received filmfare awards for year 2004 and 2005 as a best famale debut and best supporting actress respectively.
