Angels

Angels and why they come to us. This is a vast and infinite subject. Angelic encounters have been recorded over and over again throughout history. The most popular and known stories being the ones in the Bible. Both the Old and New Testaments contain many references to Angelic encounters. Their purposes also being varied and many. Some announcing Gods will, some proclaiming Gods presence, the birth of Christ, still others leading people to safety.

Why Are They Here? Are They Here?

Why do Angels come here? Are the beings we see or believe we see truly Angels?

The Websters definition of Angel: A spiritual being superior to humans in power and intelligence, an attendant spirit or guardian.

I'm going to have to go along with Webster on this. Each and every time I have been blessed with an encounter, I had no doubt at all that this incredible being of light was superior to me! The people who have shared their stories with me feel much the same way.

The dying man who spoke to someone who was not there and told me it was an Angel showing him the way. The pregnant woman who watched a figure in light appear and point to her unborn child. The child who explained that Uncle was okay, he was standing right over there with an Angel. The appearance of a shining gold light coming down from the sky on a freeway where there had been a fatality. The sound of beautiful voices raised in song at the birth of a child. The feeling of being pushed from behind to the ground before a shot rang out and seeing no one who could've possibly done the pushing.

These are all real. They all happened to either myself or a relative. So, my answer would have to be yes they are here. They are here to help in any way they can that will not affect free will.

In the Beginning

The oldest religion known to man is most likely Zoroastrianism, a religion formed by a man by the name of Zarthosht. It is thought this religion has it's roots and beginnings at around 600 BC. Zaroastrianism had one God and various beings that were go betweens whose job was basically to communicate between their God (Ahura Mazda) and the humans. These beings were called the Bounteous Immortals. I'm guessing Angels?

Angels of Different Religions

I am not Christian. I hope I don't offend anyone who is. It is simply not the path I have chosen. I researched about 18 different religions before I found my path. Therefore I can honestly say Angels are not simply of one religion. Why would they show themselves to me? Why to a child who has yet to choose her path? Why save someone from being shot who was an Atheist?

It seems many religions have had their encounters with Angels

In the Mormon religion, The Guide to the Scriptures at LDS.org states:

"There are two kinds of beings in heaven who are called angels: those who are spirits and those who have bodies of flesh and bone. Angels who are spirits have not yet obtained a body of flesh and bone, or they are spirits who have once had a mortal body and are awaiting resurrection. Angels who have bodies of flesh and bone have either been resurrected from the dead or translated."

In the Muslim religion, the Angels are created by Allah. There is an angel named Gibreal that has six hundred wings and is said to be larger than the horizon.

In the Hindu religion, their belief in Angelic encounters can be clearly seen by the bronze Angel they have placed at the top of the Victoria Memorial in Kolkata.

They Exist

With all these religions, all these different peoples in different parts of the world having Angelic encounters, seeing and believing in Angels, this seems to point to them actually existing. Personally, I know they do.

Decide for yourself. Maybe ask to see one, you never know. It could happen!
