My Angel Stevens Scam Story
61Angel Stevens - "Founder" of Process At Home
It all started with a simple work from home search on Google...
About a year ago, I clicked on a Pay Per Click ad promising $225 a day for typing and filling out a simple form. Turns out, this was Angel Stevens & Process At Home rebate processing program.
For $197 I would receive step by step instruction as to how to acquire "positions" with Fortune 500 companies as an exclusive rebate processor. I could work as little or as much as I wanted and average $25 per transaction. Basically, you are being shown how to set up affiliate accounts through ClickBank and PayDotCom for selected products that you later create ads and blogs about.
You are not processing rebates. Not even close!
You are offering potential customers a discount, or rebate, on a particular product or service that YOU then pay them after the sale.
You are offering a portion of your commission as an incentive to buy from you instead of someone else promoting the same product or service.
Now let's assume that you find a good product and actually get some traffic and make some sales. You issue the rebate and a couple of weeks later, the customer RETURNS the product. You are now out not only your commission but you are going to get a chargeback from paydotcom for the return
Don't go yet! It gets worse...
Around week three of the "training" I got a call from a company called Vianet calling on behalf of Angel Stevens.
They told me that I had "qualified" for their "accelerated" program and have the opportunity to build a profitable online business that will generate $10,000 a month within 3 months.
They immediately started drilling me with questions and passing me from one department from another. I have to say, these sales people are very good at what they do and before I knew what hit me I had agreed to pay them $8,000 for this program.
Determined not to fail I forged ahead...
After studying with the Vianet program and working with a online marketing mentor for 7 weeks, I can say that I learned a great deal and came out with a sweet little niche site with some affiliate links and such.
Did I make $10,000 in three months? Nope. I didn't make one red cent.
But that didn't stop me from pursuing my dream of becoming an online entrepreneur. It has been over a year since I was scammed by Angel Stevens and I have to say that I don't know if I would be the success that I am today if I had not had that experience.
I can also say that I would not have been given the opportunity to share this story and hopefull help other people from getting scammed for thousands of dollars.
So my advice to you is this...
I can only assume that you are looking for an easy and affordable way to start a home based business.
