Do You Have Anxiety?

Do you really have anxiety and how do you know you have it? I believe that in order to recover from anxiety, you must understand the symptoms. People with anxiety tend to be worriers who dwell on things and obsess about their fears. We tend to be perfectionists and set high expectations for ourselves. As a result we are often disappointed and anxious.

We anticipate and dread negative events. In order to recover from anxiety you have to look at your personality traits and be willing to change them. Changing the way we think and react is the key to beating anxiety.

With anxiety there are many physical symptoms, you may have experienced them before:

• Strong feelings of anxiousness and panicky feelings

• Racing heart and chest discomfort

• Lightheadedness or Dizziness

• Feeling of confusion and unreality

• Nervousness

• Scary, uncontrollable thoughts

• Nausea, upset stomach, diarrhea

• Hot and cold flashes

• Muscle tension, numbness, weird aches and pains

• Feelings of depression and hopelessness

• Restless feelings, sleeping too much or too little

• Hard time breathing • Uncontrollable bouts of anger

People with anxiety tend to obsess or worry about a number of things such as:

• Losing control

• Going insane

• Illness

• Hurting themselves or someone else

• Having a heart attack

• Being embarrassed

• Fainting

• Death

• Difficulty Breathing.

These fears are what trigger anxiety. If you feel like you are going to be sick, you start worrying, than your heart feels weird so say to yourself "What if I'm having a heart attack? What if I die?" Doing this only feeds your anxiety!

Something to also consider is NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) ... Rather than have to go through and re-live the pain ... move on from where you are now in to a brighter future. Change where the panic triggers take you, and instead have them bring you to a stronger brighter place ...

A very interesting Hub, I love the layout. I agree with Rudra, I've read a book on the subject and it did say something about that.

People with these problems should try meditation or maybe yoga. Even if you only spend 15 minutes every day to remove yourself from outside influences in a quiet environment and clear your mind. You will be amazed at how good this can make you feel.

this is a very interesting hub. I was just writing an article today about anxiety and panic disorders. Seems to be the theme of the week. I'm glad to see you've overcome it. Best of luck in all you do.
