Temporary walls making living in New York possible

Living in New York City is amazing, but not always affordable. Rent is very high and sometimes the only solution is to find a roommate to share the space and, most importantly, the rent with. Having a roommate is a huge financial help, but sometimes privacy becomes a major issue... especially if you are sharing a one bedroom apartment. Creative New Yorkers try to use many things as room dividers (hanging curtains, blankets, folding partitions, etc), but none of these methods offer true privacy as a real wall would. Unfortunately since most New York apartments come with strict rent/ lease restrictions, constructing a wall to convert one room into two independent rooms is usually not an option. This is where companies like Wall 2 Wall come in to offer affordable and professional solutions using pressurized wall systems. Pressurized wall systems are temporary walls that leave no mess and use no screws nor nails to install. These room dividers look amazing and are as sturdy as real permanent walls are. In most cases, it is even very difficult to distinguish between a real wall and a temporary wall.

Snoring Roommate Problems

Having a roommate in New York City is a God send when it comes to sharing the insane rent, but what if you have a roommate with a snoring problem? Your great economic solution turns into a living nightmare! There's nothing worse than spending sleepless nights in your own home because your roommate is snoring up a storm. You are starting to get homicidal and throwing shoes, clocks, and just about anything you find at your roommate is no longer working!

There are many supposed solutions out there ranging from nose strips, ear plugs to making your roommate get surgery! But let's get realistic, most nose strips don't work and if your roommate could afford to get surgery, he/ she would probably be living on their own to begin with.

So what's the next logical solution? How about temporary walls that are sound proof? Usually pressurized wall systems are known for not being the best for sound insulation, but a select few companies, like Wall 2 Wall, specialize in using high tech materials which solve this problem. These walls are gaining popularity with Manhattan based musicians who want to setup home recording studios in their apartments. So if these walls are capable of containing the sound of musical instruments, you know that a snoring roommate is not going to be a problem. Finally a good night of peace and quiet to get much deserved sleep.

Having live in this type of situation, temporary walls of this sort would have really helped! Those folding screens, although nice, are not quite enough when living with someone else.
