Article Marketing - The 6 Strategies That Spell Success
52Article Marketing - The 6 Strategies That Spell Success
Everyone knows that Article Marketing features in the ranks of the most powerful, yet economical, online marketing techniques. Publish essays with original content which are informative, and carry conviction, and guarantee yourself incessant traffic, without having to pay a penny, for ever. And you wouldn't ever like to stem the flow of articles. There's no reason at all, with such a guaranteed mode of sales!
The best reward would be back-links your content is bound to yield. Each new back-link improves the possibility of a high rank given by SEs. What more could you want?!
So, here are my 6 secrets:
#1: Keep On Writing. Keep On Submitting.
Are you capable of writing and submitting an essay that spells new content, to every directory? You should aim for just that if your ambition is to lay the competition to rest. You can identify thousands of directories that will produce back-links that the competition in your line of business rely on.
If you think a solitary article featured in many directories will produce a unique backlink for each directory, you'd better reconsider. SEs, especially Google, are inclined to only identify the original article submitted as containing original content, and throw out the remaining to a supplemental index.
And just in case you are dreaming about making many spun versions of the first 'seed' article, in order to offer these to several online directories, this is not a way to boost your online credibility. Spun versions of articles are considered rubbish, and invite ridicule. ( Click this link, if you want to laugh at a quintessentially stupid spun article).
So, go right ahead and discover how to keep writing and submitting articles
#2: Make Hundreds Of Authentic Versions Of Your Original Article
The deficiency of spun articles, besides the fact that they are time-consuming to produce, is that they can't dodge detection by content duplication software that SEs use. Additionally, spun articles normally have identical titles and anchor-texts, which makes them easy to detect.
#3: Sign Up With As Many Article Directories as you Can
This entails a huge amount of work, which is unavoidable, if you want to see great results.
Luckily, this is a one-time effort, which will enable you to keep on submitting articles to those directories for as long as you want.
#4: Do Article Submissions In Drips
When articles are submitted en masse, SEs eye the back-links produced by them, in a short time-span, suspiciously. SEs want a natural rate of increase of back-links spread over a long time-span; as a result, a proliferation of back-links, en masse, will probably work against your interests. You will merely be deprived of credit for the back-links, and that's only if you are lucky. At worst, SEs could even sandbox your site.
#4: The Right Category Is Crucial When You Submit An Article
It is virtually impossible to submit articles to the same category across several directories, as article directories don't have a common set of categories. Imagine submitting an article on "How To Display Your Love" in order to sell an ebook on love, and that gets submitted under "internet marketing". Many submission software programs do exactly that. It will do nothing for your turnover.
Instead, rely on a submission mode that guarantees article submission, under an apt category, regardless of the directory.
#6: Follow Up On Failed Submissions And Resubmit Them
Submission software programs are often unable to submit your articles to some directories, for various reasons. Many of these submission software programs are devised so as to keep track of submissions, to establish whether or not they happened. A few generate reports informing of failed submissions. You should invest in a submission software that automatically resubmits an article whenever there's a submission failure.
These 6 strategies require sincere diligence. However if you are equal to the task, you are sure to leave your rivals behind.

Article Directory Registration - A Hidden Blueprint For Success
You will find a whole host of article directory lists on the internet, and their figures are increasing, like wild fire. Technically, each and every person could build a personal directory. Other than earning adsense revenue, they can enhance your website's SE placement, if you create a niche article directory in the domain of your site/ blog.
Furthermore, there exist a plethora of article directory indices which long ago became quiescent, without any longer being moderated. Presenting to these article directory lists is a waste of time. In this essay, I have looked at a few key points regarding article directory lists, and enrolling with them. What Is The Number Of Directories You Should Aim For? For starters, try to tender essays to as many article directories as you can, using diligence to make sure that they are not dormant and will assist you to produce back-links. Check the PR rating of the directory list you are sending to - the better the ranking, the greater the benefit though this may not be permanent. Poorly ranked directory lists could become better, in the foreseeable future with serious effort.Nevertheless, an identical amount of time and effort is used in sending to many directories, whether a few or many although the software will have to do more work to submit to aditional directories. And with exclusive versions of write-ups being sent to different directories, the SE rating of your site will go up, back-links mushrooming and traffic ensuing as a result.Arduous Effort The procedure of enrolling with all directories is highly cumbersome, although the effort involved should not be overlooked, because, it will not be possible for you to make your work available at various locations. The labor needed can only get worse, because certain sites may disallow the user and pen names that you propose to enlist with, since because other users could have used them. When this happens, it could entail enrolling with changed names. Mass Registering - The Easy Way Registering with more than 500 directories, a figure that service providers usually think is necessary, could take you at least 50 hours, calculated assuming it will take you around 6 minutes per directory. Assuming you work 8 hours a day, you will need to spend a full week on the job. At the risk of repeating, this is a waste of time. It has more disadvantages than benefits. It is in your own interest to be in as many directories as possible even utilizing another company to do the work. Limitation of Automated Registration: Sometimes it will not be possible for you to get information on the attempts to log-in with this software, since log-in lists, directory wise are not allowed by a majority of the software. Pseudonyms are sometimes not permitted, and in other cases more than one pen name is not permissible in respect of other automated submission software. Therefore, it goes without saying that is critical to locate and employ automated submissions which list pen names, and progressively makes the necessary alternations, with the necessary updates on log-in details and directory names. Our Conclusions: It's limitations notwithstanding, it make sense to register with as many directories as you can. By enlisting in multiple sites, you will gather the advantages numerous back-links driving traffic to your site, additional traffic, directly from directories, and still more owing to your site's higher ranking, resulting in sales.Author Bio: Richard J. Almost all the software packages and tools that one can get in the marketplace usually do not take into account the hassles related to article submission.
Here are 9 ways that can help you to overcome such inconveniences, and increase your sales. Secret #1: Change The Titles And Descriptions Of The Articles By doing this, you will be able to stress the individuality of the write-ups and enhance the odds of being assigned individual ratings from Search Engines.Secret #2: Depend On Different Versions Of The Same Article That You Have Generated Don't just spin but generate many alternate versions of the write-up, selecting with care equivalent expressions and terms keeping the context in mind, and enter them one at a time, in different directories. You will then be able to get credit from Search Engines in addition to making a mark on and changing visitors into customers. Secret #3: Don't get trapped by search engines, or getting your links downgraded, by changing anchor text with links. At all times and in every way, follow all the rules laid down. Work out a minimum set of rules to be followed for important directories, to increase the odds of getting of getting a large number of links. Secret #4: Select Groupings That Fit Your Article Best A majority of computerized submissions do not have the ability to identify which group the article belongs to, and usually send them to 'Miscellaneous' and 'Others' groups; therefore, your submission is ignored. Furthermore, categories are not standardized across article directories. As a result submitting to the correct categories gets more cumbersome, even when done manually. Not only that, the write-up will not be accepted by many sites if they are sent to wrong categories. Your SE ranking, too, depends on it because the category selected should match the keyword used by a searcher. Only submission software that maps categories based on all directories submitted to should be used.Secret #5: Keep A Record Of Submissions If you depend upon computerised submissions ensure that you get details giving all web sites in which your write-ups have been entered, date-wise and time-wise. In addition, get yourself a mail id to which messages can be sent giving details of submissions made and approvals received.Secret #6: Try, Try, Try Again To prevent 'leaks', the software you use should be such that it keeps sending the article till it is accepted.Secret #7: Make Sure Your Blog Site And Your Own Article Directory Have Your Articles.Since you have multiple copies of your article, by posting one each to your blog site and Article Directory (easy to create and maintain), get as many credits as you can, from Search engines, for each article version.Secret #8: Mail A Version To Your Subscribers Assuming you haven't already got a subscribers' list for your newsletter, create one. And send your article as part-content of a newsletter via your autoresponder. RSS feeds, adsense, and amazon links should also feature in the letter.Secret #9: Re-use ArticlesA rewritten article is as good as new, especially if they're brought up to date periodically prior to regenerating many versions of them and submittting. To start with, people who sell on the web are of two types. One, specialists in their field, considered as being very knowledgeable in their respective fields. For experts like these, the internet ensures that more people get to know about them. They are motivated by their interest in their field of specialization; their interests are spread, and includes a broad variety of areas. In addition to these people, we have regular sellers, who want to exploit the net for their own use.
The subject experts or the leaders, don't need to search for content, given their expertise in their respective domains. They do not fear other players, they actively look for them - specialists like themselves - to join hands. Because their most important concern is the matter on hand, the actual writing does not matter for these specialists . Monetary gains are secondary, although this adds up slowly and steadily, over time.Regular sellers, the type 2 get motivated by the money they hope to earn. They are not experts, and you can tell by reading their articles. Those belonging to this category sometimes switch from niche to niche, and although there a few winners, the opposite is also true. I think, the two types of sellers on the web must follow alternate routes to succeed. The first category of sellers, because they concentrate on unique content, tend to ignore PLR articles. However, those among them that lack writing skills should be able to surmount this disadvantage by engaging professional writers to express their concepts cogently, although this is not mandatory. Ezinearticles.com is the best medium for those in this category. You can be sure a natural flow of back-links and traffic spread over time. But, experts like this, would benefit, within the constraints of time and money, if they got exclusive accounts of their articles made and sent to lots of article directories, as they could maximize their market reach and profits this way.Category 2 marketers concentrate on drawing traffic to their several niches, all at once. Even though they think the written matter as secondary to increasing visitors to the site, they do not frown on engaging professional writers to prepare the written matter in their various sites, and then 'spinning' the content into many alternatives . The various articles then should be submitted slowly to hundreds of directories, keeping in mind the aim of their sites having the best Search Engines rankings. A banking on top quality writers, not forgetting PLR writers , and the drip-submitters should happen as a consequence of the amount of effort the category 2 sellers would need to do.Amateur marketers belonging to the second category lurch about on their own amateur steam till they can meet the expenses of professionals in preparing and presenting of essays.Marketers in the second group should concentrate on a few areas on which they have greater domain knowledge and slowly become experts on the subject, over time. In this way, they could get into category 1, thereby multiplying their success rate.Do you know which type you are?Author Bio:Richard J. Article directories abound on the net. Some, ezinearticles.com is an example, are very popular. If you believe these directories belong to big companies, you would be incorrect. A majority of directories belong to individuals like you, because they are profitable to the people who own them while helping their businesses to better their Search Engine rankings.
Why don't you own one too? It could puzzle you what the advantages of being the owner of an article directory are. Why would anyone not want to be the owner of a web-site with a very good PR ranking, is very informative and well-regarded by SEs, as article directories generally are? Article directories do not cost money to maintain and will increase the revenue of both yours, as well as associated products. In addition, it will get income from Amazon and adsense. An online directory that specializes in your area may turn out to be a hit with competition who will then place their write-ups in your directory and get related content. If you keep your directory in your own domain, its PR rankings and the traffic it attracts could be used to endorse your company, like I am doing. The three things you can do are: build a forum, create a list or write a blog in the web-site in which your article directory is situated. Assign an appropriate monetary value to each element, and the total of this should equal how much your site is worth, making sure that the components increase the value of the others. Consider the following article-directory checklist: 1. Directories exist that can be accessed free of charge, as well as for a price. They can also be set up by people whose job it is, like me, for example. This service will be made available by me in the near future at no cost to my clients. 2. Having an on-line directory in a specialized area is better than having one in a general area; your directory could become the most popular in the field. 3. Have a single directory and maintain it well instead of running numerous on-line directories that are all neglected.Aim for an individual directory for each niche you are in.4. Select keyword-rich category names. As an example, ezinearticles.com is something that can be copied. For directories in very exclusive categories, it is essential to first explore various keywords prior to category creation. 5.Eschew on-line directories with articles already present, as such content is not likely to be new. In its place, open a new directory and decide what articles you will allow in. 6. Try to increase the content in your site by getting articles periodically from other people like you, not having to put in too much effort. Speaking for myself, I plan regular submission of articles to directories I build for my clients - in fact, these directories will be on my permanent roster of directories for submission. That way, they'll surely get free submissions to their directories by me. 7. To get higher PR and SE rankings, the directory will qualify only if at least a quarter of the articles are original ones. Even though it may be beyond your control, you will gain if I build the directory for you, because I will provide plenty of original matter; the majority of submission software submit only duplicate content. 8. If you plan to submit a lot of prior content to your own directory, the original articles must first be sent to your own directory. 9. In case you decide on having a niche directory, get high-quality write-ups in your field from other sites, ensuring that there is complete compliance with the regulations of the directories, especially those on reprinting of articles. 10.Start by having links to your webpage and blog created, and depend on text links rather than banners. 11. Verify essays submitted to your directory to throw out garbage, including spam. Do this every week, and if you are not able to, opt for a paid service that does this - by the way, I will be offering this service soon. 12.Do Search Engine Optimization as you would for any webpage of yours.13. Persuade popular writers in your niche to write articles for your site. Use popular forums such as Warrior Forum to solicit such writers when you are trying to popularize your directory. 14. Ensure that back-ups of your directory are taken, regularly, irrespective of whether the web host does it for you. If and when you decide to sell your site, the online article directory will make it more valuable, apart from already attracting more traffic and increasing its SE rankings.Author Bio:Richard J. Google and other Search Engines, prefer seeing sites and blogs building back links at a slow and steady rate. A sudden upsurge in back links might induce them to disregard these links, and in a worst-case scenario, your site could end up getting sandboxed.
Therefore, if the hundreds of directories you submit to, simultaneously, approve your articles - to be expected if your articles have quality - Search Engines such as Google may refuse to acknowledge the back links to your site. Additionally, if this is submission of the same content to various directories , it may be an additional justification for Search Engines to blackball your articles. The only way out is to submit unique versions of your write-up, one version dedicated to each directory, taking care to vary the titles and anchor texts. Nevertheless, it is impracticable to expect to post your articles individually to hundreds of directories, while recording submission details, article-version-wise, date-wise and directory-wise. You can resolve this problem by software-enabled drip-submission of articles, to a few directories, daily. Make sure the software you choose records submissions, article-version-wise, date-wise and directory-wise. That way, you adhere to the mandate of search engines, and will not be penalized by them. You need some kind of scheduling software for scheduling of dissimilar versions of essays submitted on different dates to the selected directories . Assuming that you're unable to submit some articles for myriad reasons the software should be programmed to re-submit them on a future date and also maintains a strict record of submissions, to preclude submitting the same content to many directories. Ideally, how many articles should be disseminated via directories by using a scheduler? There is no clear answer, but about 20-25 a day should be fine. In other words, submission to approximately 500 directories should take a little less than a month. When you have 500 submissions spread over a month, the back links spawned must take place slowly and steadily, how Google and other major search engines would like it. And if they are satisfied, you should have every reason to be happy, too!Author Bio:Richard J. Runion is the President of Geostar Publishing & Services LLC. Rich loves net research & blogging. You may prefer to do your own writing. Otherwise, , professional writers could do it for you. Nothing but a well thought out strategy can take you to success.
You will get maximum gains from article marketing using these 5 strategies:1. Sell Subject Matter ExpertiseIn case you are yet to become a subject matter expert, prepare to don that role , asap. There's a greater chance of success for you when you stick to a subject on which you are the acknowledged expert, than if you expound on every subject under the sun. Assuming you are a guru, the reader is likely to accord you respect, and you can accomplish your goals with greater ease. Rely on your writing acumen, as well as your domain knowledge, and this will be a foregone conclusion. However, don't fret if you are not a subject matter expert. Article writing can still help you. For example, you could aim for adsense income or affiliate income and build traffic routed through back-links generated by your articles. Although your article content may be borrowed from other web sources, collating the information in your own article qualifies as original effort. Leverage your writing acumen convince newbies in your field of interest, with useful information they can benefit from. Most importantly, concentrate on your target market, the reader. Only thereafter should you address Search Engines, in your scheme of things. Readers should be able to identify you by your writing style. You can strike gold if you aim to teach your reader the way to go about his business; other factors such as drama and romance can all add to your article's readability. Assuming you are dependent on PLR articles, ensure that these are rewritten by you, and only then us them. I know many PLR publishers may not agree, but what else do you expect them to do? If you plan to employ a ghost-writer, ascertain that the writer knows your clear intention.2. Tell, Don't SellYou cannot view article directories as merely vehicles for promoting your business, and getting you visitors to your site through back-links. Most prefer to be identified as rich with content, not full of propaganda. So, they discourage writers who promote themselves, and restrict such publicity to the Author's Bio.Unless readers can agree with what they read, they may not want to consider you as a SME. So, inform, don't promote, readers to peruse your written wisdom and come in droves to your website.3. Edit Before You PublishScan everything you write and cut out spellos and typos, as well as errors of grammar and usage, or prospective customers could get distracted - away from your article.4. The Importance Of Collateral InfoThe selection of keywords that matter, and the apt grouping of your article in article directories are crucial to your success as is your content. Don't forget the Title, the Brief Description and The Author Bio. The Author Bio, in particular, deserves a great deal of attention, in fact even more, attention than the article, itself.5. Re-create; Don't SpinSpinning is the surest way of producing garbage using a great article as raw material. Avoid use of software when you spin. Manual re-creation is the solution, working equally hard if not harder, than done on the seed article itself. Accord minute attention even to trivial details that includes the Title, Brief Description, and Author Bio. Make sure links incorporate anchor text; also, the keywords need to be long-tailed. Optimize for the most potential yet least competitive keywords, using it once each in the article title as well as in the introductory para, and 2-3 additional mentions. Make optimum use of LSI words. Let the links be directed to your site judiciously. Allot some pages to receive the links, ascertaining that the links go to different pages, while at the same time making sure the links don't get scattered across your site. Consequently, your SE placement might zoom. You might consider Article Marketing as a tedious exercise that takes a lot of time, as you have a lot of other things to do, or owing to your lack of inclination. But, don't pass up the wonderful chance to attract business. Outsource if there's no alternative, ascertaining that the writer you hire knows about the five strategic plans.Author Bio:Richard J. One can count many unanswered questions that one must address first.
For instance, given that content happens to be the main thing, you'd better not allow web-based directories to be the first to publish your article, & profit therefrom? Assuming you were to publish your content, first, in your web-page, will the article be considered as duplicate content by SE's including Google, were you to publish it subsequently in web-based directories?Would writing duplicate content in web-based directories provoke these web-based directories to consider articles written by you, unfavorably? What number of web-based directories could an article marketer target for publishing articles in?I have invented a method of 'article re-creation' which will set your mind to rest on these issues. Via this innovation, you can actually have hundreds of originals of your primary content and be able to publish each one in its own directory on the Internet, while still having the seed write-up for displaying in your web-page.It will allow you to display a couple of write-ups in your web-page, the first in your blog, and the second one to be used as a write-up to be submitted later to web-based directories. although in the best-case scenario, you are better off writing a second article to be published in your blog, to pre-empt visitors to your blog having to imbibe 2 versions of the same article.Although it's not absolutely necessary to post your content in your blog, as a precursor to handing it over to web-based directories, I advise it, since that way, you may achieve SE rankings for your essay in your web-page, as well as the web-based directories to which you submit them. Not to mention the many back-links arising out of the web-based directories. After all, your goal is to to maximize the gains accruing from the essays.Author Bio:Richard J. A certain sequence exists that must be followed as you distribute essays to directories on the web. Here's a sequencing strategy to guide you:
1. On Priority, Publish The Article In Your BlogIf your article does not appear, first, in your blog/ site, the copyright of the content won't remain with you, as that would not allow the article to be indexed first, before it gets published in an online directory. Search engines such as Google are liable to consider it as not original and not give you the deserved credit.2. Second, Submit To The The Best DirectoryAs far as I am concerned, ezinearticles.com, ranked PR 6, is Number One, and can garner the most positive results arising from a solitary write-up in it - more than all the others. Pay attention to other areas including anchor text, and you might reap profits in the form of back-links. 3. Hand Over Discrete Lots To Relevant Online DirectoriesOnce your article has been submitted to ezinearticles.com, post approval, hand over other original write-ups based on it in discrete lots to many online directories that are pertinent to your niche, at the rate of 20-25 a day.4. Finally, Submit In Trickles To Several Online DirectoriesOnline directories specializing in specific niches, different from yours, won't prove effective. Hence, leave them out, as you post your articles to a maximum number of directories. Also, recognize the pecking order of online directories you publish in. The PR ranking of the directory and how internet gurus see it can help find this out. You might want to base your judgement on Alexa rankings, or discover for yourself as to the presence of a directory being submitted articles to by software submission processes. So, just submit in trickles, and not in bulk.5. Careful: Are You Submitting Original Work Of High Quality?Post various editions each to a separate directory. Avoid article spinners. Article spinners manufacture junk, and duplicates of your seed article do not ever manage to retain the intended meaning or tone of your write-up. Avoid publishing a version to you blog, assuming a similar essay has been posted there earlier, so as to prevent over-saturation. Author Bio:Richard J. I found this hub very helpful and it provokes a question in me that I was hoping you could answer.
You mention sending articles at a slow rate so as not to set off the Google radar. Take my circumstances into consideration.
I have a very good keyword phrase that I use for anchor text in the resource box of my articles. (low competition, but high return) And I'm using an article submission service that sends my article to 300 different article directories.(I imagine maybe 100 are published)
I've been submitting one article per day. How many links is too many to receive in a week?
