Remember when making videos was hard?

Yeah, you can think back that far, can't you?

New Technology: Article to Video

Sometimes I wonder, "What will they think of next?"

Just a few short years ago camcorders were all the rage. Then before you know it, camcorders have shrunk to the size of a cell-phone, and can automatically upload vides to YouTube.

Video production used to mean planning, lighting, shooting, and, ohhhh yes ... editing. Not for the faint of heart.

But the new technologies are making it too easy!

Really.

Paste an article in a box. Click a button. A video comes out.

How cool is THAT?

Here are three leaders in the "article to video" technology race that we recently discovered:

#1: ARTICLE VIDEO ROBOT: Higher-End Choices

"Article Video Robot" uses a still-simple, but slightly more sophisticated interface than Article2Video or VideoGoRound to produce movies similar to those of Article2Video.

AVR actually provides 2 ways to interact with the product -- the quicker "One Click" Wizard -- which reduces options (and opportunities to mess up) -- along with the more sophisticated Full Editor which gives a surprising amount of control over each frame of your video.

If you are the kind who likes to "fine-tune" things, you will love their approach.

#2: VIDEOGOROUND: Always Alert Digital Avatars

Videogoround offers a video creation software product that is quite unusual. It is a text to video converter that creates a digital speaking character, or avatar.

"Text to video" technology
takes the article you type in the message box, and changes it into a real live video featuring a speaking avatar. You can pick from one of six characters, and 3 backgrounds.

The final result is quite outstanding, seeing a surprisingly life-like and almost human digital sales person saying YOUR words.

#3: ARTICLE2VIDEO: Fast and Slick

Article2Video uses the same "paste some text in a box" technique as VideoGoRound, but with a very different final result.

Rather than using the talking avatar heads that VideoGoRound produces, "Article 2 Video" uses a similar text-to-voice technology combined with some text overlay on dynamic moving video backgrounds (like flying through clouds) to create a fascinating final text-to-video movie.

Article to Video Conversion: Choose Your Weapon

I admit, I don't have the expertise to tell which one of these new article to video technologies is the best. You might want to check out this more thorough Article to Video Software Review.

All I know is, I am tempted. It just sounds so easy. TOO easy.

There might be some new "instant videos" in your future, too ....
