Asanti Wheels

Become a real-life "Lord of the Bling" with Asanti rims and the swipe of a credit card. Asanti wheels and rims are some serious-looking units, mainly because of their large urban sizes and appearance. It's not surprising, then, that they've come to rule over the urban wheel world in many places. If you want to change the look of your average-Joe ride and turn it into a serious bling machine, then perhaps you need to look at Asanti before most any other wheel or rim maker.

Grow them big. If you want a "tiny" set of 17 inch rims, you might want to look elsewhere. For the most part, Asanti wheels and rims start at the fabled "dub" size of 20 inches and grow bigger from there, all the way up to a massive 26 inches.

Wheels or rims? There's almost no difference between a set of wheels and a set of rims. The word "rims" is used more by urban street car "tuners" as a way to describe one of the things being sported on their vehicles (wheels). Once in a while, a wheel's construction may warrant the term "rim," but that's pretty much it in the differences department. It's a sure bet, though, that any wheel 20 inches and above (so-called "dubs") is going to be called a "rim."

The material is the thing. In the old days, the only metal a wheel or rim was made of was steel. It could be molded cheaply and easily and it didn't rust, which is one thing you really need for a piece of the car in constant contact with road salt and the elements. But steel could be a bit heavier than other metals available to a wheel maker.

Dressing them up. In today's aftermarket wheel and rim world, aluminum or a few other exotic alloys are the choice of most street ride tuners. Mostly, you find steel on low-end factory cars and older model cars of all price ranges. The advantage to aluminum or other alloys is that they weigh less and they can be tricked out in colors and styles that go right to the heart of the urban wheel and rim market segment.

Sticking to it. Wheels or rims are, for the most part, fastened to a hub through the use of bolts. The general rule these days is that four to five bolts will be called for in most applications, though some specialty rims may use 8 or more of them. Asanti Wheels and Asanti Rims generally go with around 5.

Looking good's never been easier. Asanti rims and wheels have made it easier than ever to immediately improve the look and appearance of even the most plain-looking car out there, including more than a few station wagons. Your car can look like it just came out of a West Coast design studio pretty quickly when a set of Asanti rims get bolted on. And their wheels all combine great performance with urban fashion bling, so the dubs you sport today will look nice for a long time.

Rolling it all up. Even if fashion's not the reason you're looking into a set of Asanti wheels or Asanti rims, it's pretty hard not to like the idea that the set of urban units you're getting will look good for years to come.
