Introducing astral projection for beginners

The process of introducing astral projection for beginners is not always the easiest thing to do, because the experience of astral travel really shatters many of the preconceptions we have about the world and who we are as individuals.

Experiencing astral projection first hand often brings a lot of insight into the nature of the universe and our reality, for the mere reason that the astral experience is much deeper (and wider) than the earthly experience, in terms of consciousness. The fact that we are all able to astral project naturally is even more exciting.

Perhaps the easiest method to introduce astral projection is to contrast it to a Near-Death Experience. Out of the hundreds of near-death cases that have been studied, almost all of them referenced the individual leaving the physical body and moving on to another place and time on the spectrum of consciousness. Being pulled back into the physical body after a run-in with death often leaves a person with the memories of the experience after physical death.

Some time ago a number of theories suggested that when we go to sleep our Soul also leaves the physical body to travel the inner realms (or astral realms). In our memory, we simply experience these travels as dreams. However with meditation and practice we have the opportunity to travel to these dream worlds consciously.

Stories about astral projection from well-known individuals

Many individuals have experienced amazing travels in the astral worlds after beginning to learn about the possibility of world's outside our own - not just worlds on the spectrum of space, but also on the spectrum of consciousness and time.

Here are some enjoyable reads about astral projection experiences:

How can I astral project?

The best advice I offer for learning how to master the mind to achieve deeper and more meaningful astral travel experiences is to balance learning and experience.

First of all it is important to be able to learn as much as possible about astral projection, especially taking time to personally research the reason:

  • That we have lost touch with this ability over the last few thousand years.
  • That this powerful meditation tool is kept secret from mass knowledge.
  • For possibilities in an astral travel experience, and the real potential that we have to experience majestic realities beyond this one.

I came across an excellent e-book that covers the subject in great depth called "Astral Projection Underground" which falls short of just 400 pages on explaining the dynamics behind astral projection.

The book is also highly practical, and the reason that this is vitally important is because 90% of people who read about astral projection will never take the time to experience it for themselves. No amount of reading in itself can ever stretch the potential of the human mind as widely as direct personal experience.

Some of the experiences that we can have in the astral plane include being able to talk to individuals who have passed on from the physical world, connecting to other astral-travellers (mind reading and astral sex have been two topics that have gained popularity in the alternative niches online), and much more.

The physical body can be thought of as a shell that surrounds our soul. The astral body is the shell that is closer to our soul and further from the physical body, therefore the depth and creativity of the experiences that we can have in the astral are much greater.

For example, one person can create an object in the astral plane for someone else to find, and once the person has left the meditation space the object will still remain in the astral plane.
