Autism

Autism is a complex biological malfunction. Here the victim reflects various symptoms like speech difficulties, posture or body gesture abnormality, fears, anxieties etc.

Causes of Autism – No clear cut reason has been figured out for the cause of autism yet and still research is being going on this field but from various observations that have been carried out till date certain inferences are drawn that genetic and environmental factors are responsible for it.

From the studies it has been also observed that nutrition plays important role in autism. Autism is more common in kids. Below are certain factors whose deficiency also leads to autism.

  • Zinc deficiency

  • Mg/Ca deficiency

  • Selenium deficiency

  • Chromium deficiency

  • Protein deficiency

  • Essential Fatty Acid deficiency

  • Iron deficiency

  • Calorie deficiency

  • Carbohydrate balance

  • Vitamin deficiency

Risk factors of Autism: Children present with fragile X syndrome or having tuberous sclerosis are more prone to autism. As a matter of fact, males are four times more prone to autism compared to females and it has nothing to do with upbringing of a kid.

Symptoms of Autism – Autistic children are less responsive to their parents and other stimuli. This child creates their own world and likes to leave aloof. They extremely resist any kind of change.

Autistic persons are very unpredictable and have poor judgement capacity.

Diagnosis of Autism

  • Deafness

  • Mental retardation

Treatment of Autism - Once autism is being diagnosed proper medications are to be done. Also parents should be educated in behavioural techniques so that they can get involved in all aspects of his or her child’s treatment etc. More attention is required to be given to these kids. Proper nutrition that fills up the nutritional deficiency is required.
