I have tried to present the UK automotive industry growth since 1980. Automotive industry has been rapidly grown a lot since 1980, I have used graphs rather than writing up as it helps a reader to understand quickly and easily.

Also the data that I have collected is of much relevant and is accurate. I am confident about this because I have done a good research before preparing these charts and graphs with the data I collected. All this research is based on Authority Company and government statistical based.

The first graph is all about the total number of companies that are in to automotive/motor manufacturing.

If you observe the chart, one can easily say that there has been gradual increase in the companies that involve in manufacturing the Components, automotive bodies, Tyres.

The chart clearly indicates that there were not much many companies in 1995 that were involved in manufacturing vehicle electrical. Might be the vehicle parts must be manufactured in house and not as a separate entity/company.

Also the tyre manufacturing companies decreased since 2001 year.

The pie chart gives you clear cut info on the rise of fuel sales which is more than 50%.

Total sales turnover has increased more than 60% since 1996 till 2005.

There was a huge increase in UK motor production since 1995 till 1999. But from early 2000, there has been a massive down trend in the total production in UK until 2001.

Since 2002 the total production has slowly increased and been at its peak in the year 2003. If you observe 2006 year the chart shows that it’s still in down trend.

UK vehicle production for cars and commercial vehicles was at its peak in the year 1998 to 1999 but had a drastic down trend in the year 200 followed by 2001 but slowly picked up since 2002.

But in the year 2005 the product has again seen its down trend.

If you check the UK vehicle registration chart, more or less the UK vehicle registration company has followed the trend of the UK production.

The present scenario of the automotive industry is much sophisticated and been very much advanced. Although, we heard rover closed down and some other companies have been mergered or bought by other companies.

The present scenario is much in demand for used cars rather than first hand cars. Because of many different factors which includes huge margins and less risk on investments unlike the motor production units.

Lets see what other changes to come across which effects whole economy as well as the environment.
