Bali Hotels Resorts

What can you get by staying in expensive hotel in Bali? More unforgettable memory. Of course you should not stay in the hotel all day long but most of the luxury hotels in Bali are located in best spots so that you don't need to waste your time in your journey.

At Nusa Dua there are two 5 star hotels which rate USD 600-800: Ramada Resort Benoa and Nusa Dua Beach Hotel & Spa. Nusa Dua is famous as international and elite travel place in Bali and those hotels are well-known amongst tourists. If you have lots money, you can also Grand Hyatt Bali which is no doubt has very good service but will cost you for 175-665 USD only for a night.

Grand Mirage Resort  is also very nice especially if you book the Romantic Ocean View room with an excellent view of the Indian Ocean - I found out that they give special 66% discount from 255 USD to 87 USD until 24 December 2008! Look at a snapshot of the beach taken a Flickr user from the above photo.

Cheap Hotels Bali

Many other tourists came to Bali and stay in cheap hotels for quite a long time. They are not travelling to Bali only for staying at the hotel because they would spend all day long walking around the island. Therefore by staying at cheap hotels they can have longer time to stay in Bali.

The common problem with cheap hotels is theft and facility. While theft still can be avoided, facility just couldn't. If you don't like hot weather, you'd better plan your trip in rainy season. Indonesia has two seasons only and this applies to Bali also. The rainy season starts usually at the end of October until the beginning of May.

The cheapest hotel in Indonesia is also known as hotel melati and this applies to any cities in Indonesia. In Bali, the rate ranges of this hotel are from USD 19 - 40 per room per night with breakfast including tax and service charges and if you plan to have a long trip with less budget, this hotel should be enough to you to stay in.

Chep hotels at Kuta are Hotel Karthi, Dewa Bharata Bungalow Legian Village Hotel, and Sinar Indah Beach Cottage. At Seminyak you can find Taman Rosani Hotel and Taman Ayu Cottage. In Sanur, Ari Putri Hotel is a hotel which serves with international standard. Most of them rate from USD 19-25 per room per night.

In Ubud Yulia Village Hotel 1 star hotel which rates USD 36 per room per night. While in Jimbaran, Sari Segara Resort is 3 star hotel which costs 36 USD per room per night. Aditya Beach Resort Lovina is a 2 star hotel in Lovina Singaraja with rate USD 25. In Denpasar, Inna Bali Hotel Denpasar rates only for USD 30. At Candidasa, Fajar Candidasa Hotel only rates for USD 20.

Bali Villas for Rent

If you come to visit Bali in a large group, then renting a villa will be a good choice as you will have larger space and more privacy. Villas in Bali are rented starting from USD 300 such as Scene Villas at Nusa Dua, Villa Blanca at Ubud, Villa D'Suite at Seminyak, or Villa Indah Manis at Uluwatu.

Of course location and facility determine why some other villas are expensive. Khayangan Estate, for example, is rented above $1,200 for 3 Bedroom for 3 nights in low season with 1.5 hectares of prime, cliff top land, 170 metres above the rolling surf of the Indian Ocean on the southernmost tip of the island of Bali.

In order to rent with low rate, you need to avoid high and peak season which is generally applicable in all Indonesia. High season periods are July 1 - 31 (school holidays), September 1 - 15 (Lebaran), Chinese New Year, Easter Week. While the peak season periods are in August 1 - 31 (School holidays) and December 20 - January 8 (Christmas and New Year)
