I like to play basketball in the summer months, I started shooting hoops when I was young mainly because when I was in school the coaches would encourage me to play since I am tall, but I ended up liking vollyball better and played tournaments for the school vollyball team.
Great Hub Research Analyst, what great tips. I haven't played in a month because our high school gym was being taken but we started working out again last week. We know the coach who let's us old guys in. It's a sport that is so addictive that it kind of makes you stay in shape. Once kids learn tips like you provide it makes it just that much more fun. There's nothing like playing in tournaments when your over 40.
Young people have such an advantage when it comes to sports because they have all that energy that they need to expend, and basketball is a great sport for getting them tired because of all the jumping, running and dribbling. I guess next to running track, and soccer, basketball is a good way to use up all that extra energy.
