Have you ever purchased something and it doesn't prove to be that effective as the advertisement claims it is? I do many times though. It disappoints me a lot and frustrates me out. Though many disappointments, I have other times where the products proves the advertising right. Here are a list of products which I have used before and it works, at least on me. It may varies individually I suppose?

1. Bio-Essence Face Lifting Cream Pine Pollen

This face lifting cream is being advertised as a 10 minute non-surgical face lift. Sounds too good to be true? Initially I felt that too. However, I gained much trust in Bio-essence after I see a detailed introduction of the product inside the package and also a small measuring tape. After days and days of using this cream on the face and neck, my face appears more slim and firm. There are lesser fine lines around my eye area and my skin appears brighter and smoother. I'm very elated with the effects except that my freckles and some pigmentation spots are still there! =( It can be bought at local pharmacies I supposed. I bought mine at a local mall.

2. Sake Clarifying Gel Body Scrub

This body scrub is formulated with japanese rice wine and massages skin for a smoother, clearer appearance. It helps to relieve tensions and also exfoliate your skin. Personally, though it is not stated in the packaging, I feel that this sake body scrub actually has a calming effect on your soul with its pleasant light fragrance. It really do smell very pleasant. As quoted from the packaging, sake is a spirit derived from the fermentation of rice. This grain wine can improve metabolism and also exfoliate the skin. 3. Garnier bodylight Whitening Hydrating UV Lotion

I have used this lotion for a few weeks now and I have become a few skin tones lighter. Reason being that there is a fading difference in skin colour on my arms. As my upper arm is always whiter because it is always shaded by my short sleeve shirt whereas the rest of my arm is much darker due to much exposure to sunlight. With its pure lemon essence and mulberry extract, the skin becomes more illuminated. There are also UV filters to prevent further darkening of skin. Other than lightening my skin, there appears to be lesser rough patches seen. Instead, it appears much more smoother and moisturized.

4. Garnier Long-lasting Shine Control Moisturizer

It contains UV filtration with mineral zinc and white clay powders. It is suitable for people with combination or oily complexion. It reduces shine by mattifying skin and absorbing excess sebum. I have an oily T-zone and I often use it after cleasing my face with Nivea Deep Pore Contrl Cleasing Foam. For me, it lasts about 3/4 of the day before I start to feel that my pores are clogged and the non-greasy feeling is gone. But at least I enjoyed more than 3/4 of the day with my face feeling fresh and non-shiny.

5. Milk Plus Creamy Body Lotion

Another body lotion that I personally adore is this creamy body lotion from The Face Shop. It contains oat-dervied phyto milk and milk proteins that moisturises skin, making the skin much smoother. It can be easily absorbed by the skin, leaving a non-greasy feeling.
