Becoming a Mystery Shopper
55Becoming a Mystery Shopper
After being laid off a couple of times 2 years ago I found myself looking for a quick way to make a buck. I tried some on line get rich schemes, played the stock market (was winning there for a sec), and other odd jobs. I really needed some income with flexible hours, while I was job hunting.
A Mystery Shopper performs an audit on different establishments. It can be a Retail store, restaurant, Gas Station, even a golf course. The companies are trying to find out if their employees are following the company guidelines and living up to company standards. So, you audit them to the company standards. Very simple, right?
I have received pay from as little as $5.00 to $60.00. It varies on type of job; how much paper work you need to fill out; etc. This is a good flexible career. Even when I finally found a job a year later, I still continue to Mystery shop. It helps to pay the bills.
Do you really keep what you buy? It depends on the assignment. I wrote an article on my blog about grocery shops. I get a commission and I get reimbursed up to $10.00 to spend. That $10.00 to me is just a $10.00 off coupon. I love it.
