Deck of Magic cards

More Beginner Card Tricks

Welcome to my second Hub on beginner card tricks and today I have two relatively short tricks to share with you so that's why am including two instead of just one. They are both quite easy and with a little practice you should be able to do them smoothly and like a pro with nobody noticing how you are doing them, but you have to practice at being sneaky. So, let's go learn card tricks.

Ok, this first card trick is another method of forcing the card and the real trick here is that you just have to be sneaky without getting caught. There are probably hundreds of ways that you can distract or divert your audiences attention while you perform the "trick" so I'll just let you think about how you would be most comfortable doing that.

Start off by taking a deck of cards that are facing downwards and just fan the deck out in your hands. Then get someone to volunteer or just pick someone to come and select a card. As they choose their card open the pack up a little and sneak a look at the bottom card in the top half of the deck. Let's just say that the card you saw was the King of Diamonds. Now, ask them to put the card back in the gap, close the deck, and ask someone to cut it.

The card that they chose will be right below the King of diamonds, now all that you have to do is try and be mysterious as you look throught the cards and get creative by saying things like "I feel that the card is red". Once you find the King of Diamonds you have two choices. One, you can just show them the card under the King and they will be in awe at you magic abilities or you can get fancy and say "it must be the King of Diamonds" and show it to them. Once they say no, then you can just say nonchalantly " oh, ok, then it must be this one then" and they will all still be amazed! If you want to add a variation to this you can have them cut the deck more than once, but just remember that the more times that the deck is cut the higher the chances of something going wrong.

The next magic card trick is known as "The Four Aces" and it's a little more complicated than the one we just saw but it really is a crowd pleaser. Start off by arranging your pack of cards so that the four aces in the deck are on top. Then go ahead and shuffle the pack in front of your audience but make absolutely sure that the four aces stay on top. Ask someone from the group to come up and cut the deck 4 times from right to left putting the very top quarter of the deck (the part that has the four aces in it) on the right, the next quarter to the left of it and so on and so on.

Now, ask that same person to take three cards from the top of the left hand pile and put them to the bottom, and then to take three cards from the top and put one on each of the other three piles. Ask them to do it all over again with the other three piles and then ask them to turn over the top card of each of the piles and PRESTO! Magic, they're all aces.

Hope you enjoyed these tricks and be on the lookout for more soon, in the meantime to learn more click here on some cool card tricks or to see my other card trick Hubs click here.
