When your trying to lose weight the best weight loss diet is a healthy eating program.

This will help you on your way to the weight loss that will changing your life.

The first thing you need to remember is it took years to gain your weight, and in those years, it was the way you ate and when you ate that turned into the habits you have now. You need to change your eating habits. And habits are not an easy thing to change, because you do them without even thinking.



My suggestion to you is to get a journal and start by writing down everything you eat throughout the day, and I mean EVERYTHING

And why, yes why. If its lunch time, it's lunch time, write it down. If your sitting in front of the TV and you eat something (like we all do) write it down. Just a note, not a book explaining, or trying to justify the why, you are the only one that has to see it. So, just a couple words.

The plan here is not to starve yourself, you have to eat, and in fact it’s actually better for you when you eat 4 or 5 times a day. When you are eating smaller portions, more often, it keeps your metabolism burning fat all day, and that is exactly what you what when you are trying to lose weight. So, write every single thing that you eat down and why. Think about how you are feeling when you eat. Are you hungry? Stress? Make a note of your feelings as well. You’ll do this for the first week, then go back and read it, as you read it, at the end of each day’s page, write down a note of how you could do better. This will start to make you think before you eat. Remember, habits are something you do without thinking. Now that you are thinking about it you are on your way to changing your habits.

A number of studies on the subject have determined that eating more frequent,

smaller meals or “snacks” during the day tends to lower total serum cholesterol levels, improve glucose tolerance, and mute weight gain. Tests conducted on groups participating in this eating approach, often termed “grazing vs. gorging”, show that spreading caloric intake throughout the day instead of compressing it into two or three meals has positive effects on general health as well as on achieving and maintaining ideal weight


During week two do the same thing, write down what you eat, and why.

This time remember your day’s ending notes and try implementing your notes while you are planning your day. The main idea here is to try to and change some of the habits you have, a little at a time. Making a conscious choice, of things you eat, and the time you eat, will make a big difference.


Now you also need to exercise, and walking around the block is the best way to start.

Just try walking for about 15-20 or 30 minutes, depending on how you feel. Do not go out and walk 200 miles your first day. Why? because you are going to do it again tomorrow. If you are too sore to even move, then you are defeating the purpose. So, 20 -30 minutes, everyday and you will be seeing that goal line in no time. Moving is a very important part of the changes you are trying to make. The more we move the better we feel, and even better for our bodies. Then before you know it you have achieved what you set out to do, and that is to change your bad habits into good healthy eating habits for a better you.
