I am writing out this article today about my own experience on where and how to shop in Delhi as I live in New Delhi myself.

Delhi is a famous place in India to shop for anything

East or West, Delhi is the best shopping destination where you can buy anything from state-of-the-art bridal jewelry and traditional antiques to latest gadgets and electronic items. Everything is available in Delhi and of course this makes Delhi the most famous place for shopping for anything.

The most famous old markets in Delhi are Chandni Chowk and Karol Bagh which most of the Delhiites preferred previously, but nowadays, many big malls and shopping centers have come up and people are moving towards these big shopping malls because you can get every brand over there. In previous days, people used to visit different brands and outlets with big names separately and it was not easy to compare the prices, quality, uniqueness, and variety but nowadays with these new malls and big showrooms booming up, one can easily compare and select whatever they want to buy, and of course at a reasonable price, keeping in mind the uniqueness and quality of the products.

One specific name which you can give to this type of shopping is "comparable shopping." With this new sector booming up nowadays which has made shopping very easy and you can shop for your whole family under one roof with products from big brand names like Adidas, Lee Cooper, United Colors of Benetton, Red Tape, Woodland, etc, you do not need to bargain because you can get everything at competitive and reasonable prices.

You can buy traditional handicrafts from Delhi Haat, which is located on Shri Aurobindo Marg opposite INA market in New Delhi.

Panchkuian Road and Kirti Nagar are famous for their furniture market and have remained a favorite place for people who are setting up new homes or planning to gift furniture in the marriage of their daughters.

South Extension and Greater Kailash are the most prominent places for people who are looking for International and Indian brands. South Extension is divided in two parts, one is South Extension Part I and South Extension Part II and both of these parts are located on either side of Ring Road.

Chandni Chowk and Karol Bagh are also preferred by people who shop for their marriage. People visit Chandni Chowk and Karol Bagh from other nearby states also to get unique and quality products at reasonable prices. Some of the special products for which people shop in Delhi consist of leather goods, silks, furniture, and antiques.

Connaught Place located in Central Delhi is an evergreen market for Delhiites. There are some new markets in Lajpat Nagar and Sarojini Nagar where you will find products such as electronic items, clothing, stationary, houseware items, and a lot of other categories.

Janpath Market in Connaught Place has always remained a famous extravaganza for foreigners and tourists who visit Delhi. Local people also get trendy fashion jewelry and other types of products over there at cheap prices.

If you would like to go for some trendy designer stuff, then you can visit Hauz Khas Village, which is a unique place where you can buy clothing from big designers like Rina Dhaka. J.J. Vallaya, Kavita Bhartiya, Malini Ramani and the most important thing is that they are all under one roof.
