What's The Best Dog Food?
67Dog Food
You want to feed the highest quality dog food you can. That means no Purina, Pedigree, Iams, Royal Canin, Nutro, or Science Diet. Many other brands are on the "NO" list, too.
You will want to feed a very high quality food. That means you need to spend the extra buck to keep your pet healthy. But you are actually saving money in the long run, because on a higher quality food, you are spending less at the vet's and on everything else.
Some of the best dog foods are: Wellness, Taste Of The Wild, Solid Gold, Innova, EVO, Diamond Naturals, NutriSource, Chicken Soup For The Dog Lover's Soul, etc.
Look at the ingredients in your pet's food. Is there Corn, By Products, Meat And Bone Meal, Animal Digest, and more unnessacay fillers?
Corn- Tears up your dogs intestines and is in no way needed in pet food, and it's also a nasty filler.
By Products- These can be floor sweepings, tumors, fur, feathers, beaks, etc. They are not fit for human consumption, so they get thrown in the unhealthy dog food.
Bone Meal- Dead pets, zoo animals, collars that were on the dead pets, ID tags that were on the dead pets, the drug used for euthanization of pets, etc. I find Meat And Bone Meal one of the worst things that could be in pet food.

I have an 8 year old German Shepherd/Rottweiler mix that is fed the raw diet, in other words, called B.A.R.F., which stands for Bones And Raw Food. I give him raw meat, and raw bones. It sounds easy but it's actually kind of complicated and very time consuming. If you want to feed this diet, I totally recommend it, but please do your research on it before feeding it.
