Interval training work outs are shorter and they are not boring. Interval training is the best exercise for weight loss. It does not need to be done every single day, three times a week is recommended and the sessions last for 15 to 20 minutes as opposed to Cardio training that can run over an hour a day and most trainers expect you to do this every day. If you enjoy running, swimming, biking and aerobics, you can incorporate Interval training, shorten your work out and get optimal results. Interval training can be done 3 times a week and build better lean muscle than if you work out every day using a traditional Cardio work out.


How do you do Interval Training?

How does Interval training work?  The Interval training technique is simple to do and involves a period of intense exercise followed by lower intensity exercise.  Example:  5 minute warm-up, 1 minute of intense exercise (running, biking…etc), 2 minutes of low intensity of the exercise for recovery, repeat the intense exercise then the low intensity exercise and the intense one more time followed by a cool down for 5 minutes.  The best exercise for weight loss does come in intervals and can be done in 15 to 20 minutes a day.  Do not think for a moment you will not sweat.  You will sweat as much if not more than if you had done an hour of Cardio.
