Foreign Language Software Is An Effective Way To Learn French

One of the most difficult tasks that a person will ever face is to learn to speak a second language. Taking trips abroad and learning to speak the native tongue is able to add wonder to an already zestful experience.

You will find many courses to choose from if you are looking for a course that will allow you to learn a native tongue. How do you know which courses excel at their job and which ones fail to make the grade? There is no reason to waste effort and resources on an imperfect course! The featured website was created to share our experience with anyone who wants to learn another language specifically French.

This review is on foreign language software entitled Rocket French. This software was originally developed by Rocket Language Ltd., and the coursework was written by Marie-Claire Rivire who is a native Frenchman. The reputation of this company precedes it in the production of high quality language learning courses which include Spanish, Italian, Chinese, French, German, Japanese and the American Sign Language.

There are 31 tracks included in the first module. After completing your very first lesson you will be able to speak some basic words. Conversational French is the focus of this course so that you will be able to speak with native French people in your travels. You will be in your own comfort zone as you speak with locals, order in restaurants and ask for directions, etc.

The software includes transcripts of the aforementioned audio segments which I found to be particularly helpful as I followed along. Every audio is approximately 20 minutes in length which means that altogether you will have about 11 hours of content. You will be able to use the methods within this content to quickly and easily learn conversational French. The eleven hour commitment may seem extreme, but as you make use of the audio tracks you will find that the time goes by effortlessly as well as quickly.

As a bonus the program also includes additional software to increase your ability to learn, and more importantly, it is fun. The first foreign language application is what they call MegaVocab.

This is a vocabulary recognition tool. I found this to be especially helpful in the beginning. You basically run through a series of words and you learn the words through repetition, and an association with a picture. Very similiar to flashcards we all used to learn with when you were a kid.

The application comes complete with one thousand pictures and words built into it. However, the course allows you to add more pictures and words of your own choice as you advance with the French language.

Once I began to learn the vocabulary, I then went on to the MegaAudio software. I then began to feel a certain amount of confidence with all I had learned thus far.

This application provides tasks that not only test but improve your recognition of the spoken words. You will always have a unit of measure for your progress as the system provides a score with every exercise that you take.

For me, this software was very enjoyable to use. It is one thing to learn the vocabulary of a language and quite another to understand it when it is spoken. In my opinion, this is a strong point of the Rocket French foreign language software and leaves the other programs falling short.

Another sweet aspect of the Rocket French program is that it is not simply an introductory course. It was designed with the assumption that the student has no knowledge in the language when just beginning. The software can work at an advanced level of study as well. This was great and increased the value of this program because I would not have to go out and look to buy another French course that was advanced enough for my improved skill set.

something that puts it apart from the other foreign language software applications that exist is that of the 'members only forum'. Not only can you use it to get any questions answered but you can converse with other students as well as the Rocket language online instructors. Many that have reviewed this software felt the forum made the price of the Rocket French course a real bargain. If you happen to get stumped by something, you will be able to find lots of help on the forum.

The last major area involves the pricing of this course. Because I was raring to go so I was delighted to find that they offered a download option which means they don't have to ship out CD's, software and printed material. By the way there is a $200 discount for using the download option (which is what I did). I was then able to listen on my computer, burn the material to a CD, and even load audio onto my ipod. With the choice of the download option I was able to save myself two hundred dollars and I picked the course up for just under $100.

The company behind the Rocket French software offer the course with a 60 day guarantee with no questions asked. When you take into account the discounted price, guarantee, the forum, the software applications and overall high quality I can only give the Rocket French program my highest rating of 5 stars. If your goal is to speak French, I think you will have a real hard time beating the quality of this program.

Question everything you believed you were aware about Foreign Language Learning. This website Rocket French Review Guide will cause you to question what you currently believe and tell you the REAL story.
